Author Appreciation Week, Co-authors Heather Hepler and Brad Barkley
from Kit~ Ok so it's my turn with author appreciation, and I am terrible at picking favorites. But this time it was easier since my mom has already done J.K. Rowling and Amy already mentioned Suzanne Collins (I can't decide if I like The Hunger Games, Scrambled Eggs at Midnight, or Dream Factory better).
Technically Brad Barkley and Heather Hepler are two authors, but my favorite books by them are the ones they wrote together (Scrambled Eggs at Midnightand Dream Factory (see Andye's review), I haven't gotten to Jars of Glassyet.) And although they have given me completely unrealistic expectations for guys, they are amazing. Their writing is very unique (which is not meant to be a complinsult) and they alternate each chapter between Eliot and Cal(inScrambled Eggs at Midnight) and Ella and Luke ( in Dream Factory) and I actually laughed (out loud) while reading them. I got a lot of weird looks from the people at the coffee shop (which was unfortunately not named Cool Beans.)
Thank you Heather and Brad for your cute, funny, quirky, adorable, charming, delightful, captivating, unique, laugh out loud, hilarious books!
Saying hello from SITS. Keep up that reading. I love reading too. I am an old fashioned book collector. I have books on everything and many people get books from me as gifts.
I really enjoyed your post. I have not read any of their books but your comments make me want to see what they are all about. I am so glad that you are enjoying the world that books can open up for you. Keep up the good work.
I really enjoyed Dream Factory when I read it a few years ago...I thought it was funny and had a really unique and quirky premise. Thanks for the other recommendations!
