Allison (Lostinbelieving)

My choice:

(because I'm a little obsessed with the Wicked Lovely series!!)

KM said... I loved to hate Keenan from Melissa Marr's Wicked Lovely series. I was hardcore Team Seth from the first chapter, but I loved the conflict Keenan created. The story wouldn't have been nearly as interesting without his obnoxiousness. lol

Amy, Andye, Kit, Abigaile and Austin

  1. My favorite werewolf is Lupin from the Harry Potter series, but my favorite werewolf book so far is Raised by Wolves by Jennifer Lynn Barnes.

  2. My favorite werewolf of all time would have to be Professor Lupin from Harry Potter! He's just such a great character - one of my favorites of the series. Otherwise, I'd say the werewolves from 13 To Life by Shannon Delany.

  3. I would have to pick Seth from the Twilight Saga. Stephenie Meyer did a great job of creating the lore surrounding the wolf pack, and Seth was my favorite wolf-boy by far. He was gracious enough to see past the vampire/werewolf feud to do what was necessary. He also took everything in stride, never letting anything get him down. I was always happy to read about him.

  4. Oh, what a great giveaway! My favorite werewolf is Elena Michaels in Kelley Armstrong's Bitten. In fact, I never really liked werewolves before reading Bitten, but Elena is such a strong character, an empowered modern woman who just so happens to be a werewolf.

  5. So both people before me have stolen my fave werewolf! Ugh! So mine is Lupin from HP but book would have to be The Dark Divine! I'm a follower on twitter (@JeremyWest) of Reading Teen, Amy, and Kit. And I follow on Facebook, too. I shared on twitter: Thanks for the giveaway!

  6. My favorite werewolf is Sam from Shiver, and incidently, Shiver is also my favorite werewolf book so far. He is such a well rounded character with emotions, thoughts, and traumas that I was completely drawn into him. Oh and he has yellow eyes - isn't that wolfish enough for you?!? Can't wait for Linger> and Forever!!

  8. What an interesting idea. I'm going to post your link or button on my blog at:

I like the idea of having reviews of books my company doesn't carry available for parents of teens. It will help with discussing what kids are reading as a family & also discussing why we should or shouldn't believe or read something that everyone else is reading.

Thanks. I'm also on facebook and already following you at:

    Tina "The Book Lady"

  9. I left a review of your blog for followers on my blog:

along with a link to your blog. Hopefully, it will help you get more followers and encourage kids to read more!

Here's to a great cause! Tina "The Book Lady"

  10. My favorite werewolf is Sam from Shiver, which is my favorite werewolf book :D

  12. I have several so I'm going to have to list them.

    1) Seth from the Twilight Saga.
-He's adorable in the way he acts! I mean, he's young and cute and so friendly to everyone. He even sees past the stupid hatred between werewolves and vampires when no one else can. How can you NOT love him???

    2) Professor Lupin from the Harry Potter series.
-He's such a nice man and he's selfless. He's so kind to Harry and he's not quick to judge.

    3) Jacob from the Twilight Saga.
-Needless to say, I'm Team Jacob. But not like, "Man,I wish Bella got with Jake instead of Edward." No. I just like him a lot more than that 'stupid bloodsucker.' He's only sixteen so he doesn't think about what he does. I think that he gives a message of, "I've done so much crap and had so many falls, but in the end, it all turned out well." Plus, he never gave up.

    Thanks for the giveaway!

    Sophia Lee

  13. Charles de Lint's Kern. And his Coyote, if he counts.

  14. My fav. werewolf is Clay from Kelley Armstrong's Otherworld series. He is super delish and I wouldn't mind being his mate! :)

    sithereandread (at) gmail (dot) com

  15. Werewolves, goody! Travis mentioned Luke from The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare, and he's my favorite, too. Luke has so many difficult choices to make concerning his loved ones, and I admire how hard he works to do the best thing for them. Plus, he's a book geek. WOOF! :)

  18. Werewolves, werewolves, werewolves. I'm actually a big fan of werewolves/shapeshifters vs. other supernaturals. So my favorite? Kitty from Carrie Vaughn's books. I love how her character changes & develops plus she makes me laugh. ; )

    Thanks for the fun giveaway.

  19. Hmmm.

Echoing many people here my favorite werewolf is Remus J. Lupin. He's such a fun, yet tragic character. He was bitten because of an disagreement his father had with Fenrir Greyback (who would laugh at the twilight shape shifters before eating them) when he was five. He then grew up in constant prejudice finally being given a chance to attend Hogwarts when Dumbledore became headmaster. There he meets his BFF's for life only to later lose many of them. Throughout his life it would have been easy to got the fenrir root, but he didn't. He kept to himself till JK gave him a personality overall in book six and then de-balled altogether in book seven.

My favorite werewolf book will always be the first one i ever read. Before the paranormal became a craze Annette Curtis Klause published a book named "Blood and Chocolate". Don't be fooled by the movie since it took great creative liberties and messed up the book entirely. There is always something bitter sweet about reading this book since it was what really got me into reading longer books when i was 14. The story follows Vivian and her pack after the death of her father (the former leader) and the burning of everyones home. The pack has moved in with a few members who normally lives outside of it and it completely in disarray. Throughout the course of the book Vivian has to work through her identity as a werewolf, the changing politics of the pack, mysterious murders happening in town, and her budding romance with a goth boy named Aiden. The thing with Aiden is that he claims he's open to the paranormal, but is he really... Does Vivian feel more for 22 year old pack member Gabriel or is he still an overbearing pack member. The book really hooks, drags, and sinks you in. Once you start you can't stop. The narrative and characters are compelling. You also can't help but reading it over and over again. Its for all these reasons and more this book is my favorite.

  20. My favorite werewolf of all time is probably Derek from The Darkest Powers trilogy.

My current favorite werewolf book is Nightshade. I flippin' love it. Once you go pack, you never go back!

  21. I can't believe I won ! Thank you sooo much :D

  22. My favorite werewolf is Jacob Black from the Twilight Saga. I love his devotion and passion for the woman he loves and hope one day to find my own Jacob.

    spysociety (at) ymail (dot) com

  23. I just finished reading the third Sookie book and I'm in love with Alcide. He's nice, caring, and gorgeous!

  24. Hmm...I'm going to have to go with Same from Shiver as my favorite werewolf, and Shiver is my favorite werewolf book!

  25. +JMJ+

This question makes me realise that all my favourite werewolves are from movies or TV shows rather than books! (Well, there are some books . . . but they're not for teens! LOL!)

One werewolf from the YA genre who really impressed me is Remus Lupin from the Harry Potter series. (I was disappointed when I saw how the character was portrayed on the big screen.)

I've already updated my link to this weekly giveaway on my sidebar:

  26. I LOVED Derek's character from The Darkest Powers Trilogy. He was uptight, and rude sometimes, but down deep he cared fiercely cared for those he loved. I loved his relationship with Chloe and watching it evolve through the three books as well. My favorite werewolf book? I like the Dark Guardian Series by Rachel Hawthorne. Love the male characters in those books, but female werewolves rule!!;)

  27. My favorite werewolf is Jacob from Twilight saga! He's not man for Bella, but he's certainly the man for me! =)

  28. This comment has been removed by the author.

  29. My favorite werewolf is Jacob (Jake) Black from Twilight Saga.
Even if he's a pack of muscles - and he always shows it! - he can be a bit sensitive sometimes. Especially when talking about Bella. I can understand he really loves her. That's why I can't pick which team should I be on :D
As for my favorite werewolf book, I'd definitely choose Shiver by M. Stiefvater. I love it! And, it's my first werewolf-only book :)

  48. I really love Shiver...and I love Same because he's so sweet...

BUT, my favourite werewolf books would have to be the Dark Guardians by Rachel Hawthorne! I love all four of them and yeah, some people may think they're just light and fluffy with no depth but I LOVE that I can count on them to give me sweet, gorgeous guys AND a happy ending! Not to mention all the paranormal goodness :) Definitely what good books should be - an escape from real life! :D

  51. My favorite wolfy is Embry from Twilight... he seems to shy, not to mention the whole who is his dad thing, and finding out that his mom always lied about that and his dad obviously cheated on his wife to be with his mom. Not an easy situation to be in but despite it, he's so close to Jake and Quil. He seems like a great guy to have- both as a friend and a romantic interest. And hey, with the size of the Twi wolves... you can ride him. That'd be just downright awesome.

  52. My favorite werewolf is Lucian Greymark (Luke Garroway) from The Mortal Instruments series. I love how kind and caring he is, but also strong, smart and brave. I really liked his relationship with Clary and how an amazing father figure he was to her. He's also one of my favorite characters from that series.

And my favorite werewolf books are "Blood and Chocolate" & "Shiver".

  54. I've been thinking about this one and after seeing Eclipse for the second time, I am going to have to go back to Seth because he is just so happy and nice. I had been ready to go with Luke from TMI because he is sweet, but Eclipse brought me back to my man Seth (and I'm a vampire girl...)

  55. My favorite werewolf is Jacob from Twilight. I think it's probably because I cannot imagine him in any other way other than the handsome Taylor Lautner!
