I have never really shared this recipe with anyone. If I ever go to a function and someone ask me to bring a dish, I bring Bruschetta. Everyone loves this recipe. I usually find Bruschetta tasteless when I order it in restaurants. Please try this one, you will not regret it and tell me what you thought of it.
By the way, if you want to kick it up a notch, add chunks of Mozzarella. Sooooo Good!!!
Maybe if were lucky Andye will let me do a cooking post from time to time. :o)

Oh YUM! I'm hungry now! Love vlogs, but I think I need to stay away from the cooking ones or I'll be making midnight runs to Safeway.
ReplyDelete@Candace I don't know who had more fun making this Vlog, me or my son Adrien he is such a ham.
ReplyDeleteI loved this! You should pick food from books you're reading and do them!

ReplyDeleteOh, this is wonderful! Adrien totally steals the show. He was so cute mugging for the camera at the beginning. =) And was the music from The Godfather Austin's idea? LOL!
And YES, I will definitely try your bruschetta.
PS--Another book blogger I know does "Tasty Tuesdays," in which she shares recipes that remind her of books she has read. They're not necessarily recipes of food the characters have eaten in the stories. For instance, after she read Fablehaven, she shared a recipe for mint chocolate chip brownies because the mint made the chocolate "fairy" like. =)

ReplyDeleteYes, the Godfather music was Austin's idea. Adrien and I had so much fun with this. I'm thinking about making it a regular thing. Cooking dishes that are mentioned in books is a great way to promote the book and the review.
Thanks for your comment. Let me know what you thought of the recipe. I might should have mention that capers are such a main ingredient in the recipe and taste so delicious, I hope people don't leave them out. Many have no idea what they are.

ReplyDeleteAmy, it's a good thing I read your comment before leaving the house today, because otherwise I would have left out the capers! LOL!
I tried your recipe for dinner (sans red peppers) and absolutely loved it! =D And the picky eaters who are my younger brothers started nibbling from my bruschetta plate despite themselves! I'm afraid they didn't appreciate the capers half as much. Next time, I will hide the little things under some melted mozarella cheese! ;-)
Thanks a lot!
