It would have to be Obi Wan Kenobi!
And My extra pick!
PATRICIA
Because, YES, Harry is an awesome mentor! Everyone always thinks of Dumbledore, but look at what Harry did with the DA!! He was fantastic! Way to think outside the box! :)
Harry Potter. Ok, I know, his mentor was Dumbledore, but I totally wanna Harry as my mentor.
Email me at ReadingTeen1 at gmail.com with your book choice!! You have a week to claim your prize!
ATTENTION!! If you win and you'd like a series of books that are listed and are willing to pay the shipping, I will ship them all to you! (It's too expensive for me to do it myself!)
Congratulations!
Amy, Andye, Kit, Abigaile and Austin
I'd pick Infinite Days by Rebecca Maizel. I've been dying to read and review that one and have heard a lot of good things about it...and then theirs that whole vampire obsessed side of me (its a live long endeavor) that is screaming 'YOU NEED TO READ THIS BOOK' :)
ReplyDeletefraijikhadija @ hotmail.com
I would pick Glass by Ellen Hopkins because I'm super excited for Fallout and I want to at least re-read Glass before I dig into it.
ReplyDeleteI'm following all of ya'll on twitter (@kimscarecrow) and on FB.

I would pick Will Grayson, Will Grayson because I've heard so many great things about and I seriously need to read another John Green book.

I would choose Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson because, by what I read on the reviews, it is about finding yourself and getting past traumatic events. I can definitely identify with that.
ReplyDeleteE-mail: yamilamed@gmail.com
I'd say Inkdeath by Cornelia Funke because I have the first two in the series!
ReplyDeletetwilightforever.edward(at)gmail(dot)com
I'd love to win Infinite Days, too. I've been hearing lots of good things about it, plus I saw the trailer and loved it.

I'd pick A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle because I can't find it anywhere (I live in Guadalajara, Mexico) and I've heard that it's a really great book.
ReplyDeleteIt has become a contemporary classic for young readers and I've just recently come across with it, I'm frustrated that I haven't read it, I love fantasy books for children.
And also it would be fun to have the audio book of Will Grayson Will Grayson, altough I already read the book, because 1)I have never heard an audio book, 2)John Green is my favorite author, 3)David Levithan is awesome, 4)I liked the book so much, and hear it narrated by the two Wills I think it will enhace the experience of the book.
+2 points for twitter & tweets :)
I enjoy reading your website, it's awesome.
Monica.
I'd choose Spells by Aprilynne Pike because Wings was amazing and I still need to read it :D

ReplyDeleteHmmm... I'd have to say it's a toss up between Infinite Days by Rebecca Maizel or The Julian Game by Adele Griffin. Infinite Days cover is just so freaking pretty and it's about VAMPIRES! (I mean come on, who doesn't love a good vampire book?) But, on the other hand The Julian Game sounds great too! Revenge via facebook? Yes, please! Both books look amazing!
ReplyDeleteI would pick PLAIN KATE by Erin Bow because someone I adore is really excited about the book, so I want to win it for her. Of course, I'd read and review before passing it along. :)

I'm torn! You have an amazing bookshelf which makes me feel torn, hehe. I do want to get a signed copy of either Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green & David Leviathan or Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson, but I've already read them before, yet I only got them from the library so I'll let someone else have that opportunity. Infinite Days is really tempting! Plain Kate too! I'm torn but The Dark Song by Gail Giles calls to me the most and someone wants those ARCs more than I do, I can tell so The Dark Song for me, just because they can have it! (I'm a follower by the way)

Not to mention as an Australian ARC's are somewhat of a rarity and WHOA I totally have to own one one day! It would be a treasured part of my book "collection" :D (I collect dumb things some times, LOL, because an ARC might be insignificant to Americans, haha!)

I've always wanted to read them, I love the movies, but never got the chance to borrow or buy them. Oh, what a difficult choice. There are so many, so there it goes:
ReplyDelete- I'd pick any of Cornelia Funke books because of the story and the references to other books the author does in the series.
- "The Tales of Beedle the Bard" by JK Rowling because Harry Potter is my favorite series in the world!
- "Tuck Everlasting" by Natalie Babbitt because I've loved the movie and people say the book is better!
- "Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austen because it's a classic and I haven't read it yet.
- And finally "Lord of the Flies" by William Golding because I've seen the movie and think the book might be really interesting although a lot disturbing!

ReplyDeleteIf I were just choosing for myself, I'd get The Second Summer of the Sisterhood by Anne Brashares so that I can finally get on with the story. Traveling Pants is one of those series that I follow when there's a handy copy around, as I did when all my friends were still reading Sweet Valley Twins and we could lend each other our copies. But it's not really something I'd buy for myself and my friends no longer read YA, which is why I haven't read any Traveling Pants books since the movie came out.
But if I were choosing with my brothers in mind, I'd get Eragon by Christopher Paolini. It's exactly the sort of book we'd all love to read aloud together. =)
PS--I've updated the link on my sidebar for my extra entry! Thanks!

I would definitely pick The Tales of Beedle the Bard by J.K. Rowling, because this one is still missing in my library. And it´s J.K.R! I can´t believe I haven´t read it yet...I so want to get back to the time I still expected The Letter from Hogwartz!
