A Tribute To Our Soldiers...

I know this has nothing to do with books so for that.. I am sorry.

I was kinda starting to worry that I didn't have a book review for you guys today. As I have mentioned in the past I have been really busy with summer vacation. I have been racking my brain on what to post about. My mom was watching this video on YouTube and starting to cry for TEN whole minutes... then she showed it to my brothers and sisters and she cried for another ten minutes, geez. So I got the idea of posting this video as my post for today.

I understand first hand what it is like to have loved ones away fighting for our Country. I have two close cousins away right now in Afghanistan. I pray for their safety often. I'm sure I speak for everyone here at Reading Teen when I say... Thank You to all the troops that provide us with our safety and freedom that we so greatly enjoy everyday of our busy lives.

This is quite a long video... ten minutes. Please take ten minutes out of your Sunday to watch our soldiers come home and surprise their loved ones. Our brave men and women are coming home from war, may they all come home safe!!!

Enjoy... my mom say's have a box of tissue handy.

  1. Well, I guess I need to stop watching this video. I do not know what's wrong with me. I cry like a sissy! It probably won't get one tear out of Andye (She never cries about anything, no movies, never).

Thanks Austin! Now bring me that box of kleenex kid!

  2. Amy, I started crying within two minutes. I saw this one as well, thanks to a facebook friend. I don't agree with the war, but I admire those who are brave enough to fight in it. I think this video also comforted me, because my brother will be going to officer training camp soon to become a marine, and I worry that one day he'll get deployed.

  3. @Liz, You know, it's really hard for me to say whether I agree or disagree with the war right now. I would not for any reason want the men and woman fighting, to think I am not behind them 100%!

With two very close loved ones out there fighting for us from day to day, I find it hard to say that I disagree with what is going on. I would not want them to lose any hope at all with my stance. They must stay focused on getting home safe. Right?

If your brother does get deployed than I hope and pray he stays safe, and comes home soon to his family. It's brave men like your brother that deserve a standing ovation, always.

To much gratitude and blessings to your family for this sacrifice...

    Thank you for your comment!
