I think Matched by Ally Condie may be the best book I read that was released this year. I really loved the world building in her dystopian novel.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite book I've read that was released this year is a tie between Mockingjay and Things Left Unsaid. Oh and the Heist Society! All of these were really good. :)
ReplyDeleteI've loved so many, but my answer would be: BEFORE I FALL or ANNA AND THE FRENCH KISS (releases in 2011 in Australia).
ReplyDeleteMy favorite book this year has to be Mockingjay. I read the whole series this year and LOVED it!
ReplyDeleteThe best book so far is Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins. The Hunger game series was the best and the ending in my opinion was just the best! Best dystopian i've read.
ReplyDeleteAfter much debating (in my mind, lol) I think I would have to say Incarceron by Catherine Fisher, and I just can't wait for the second book which is out on the 12th!
ReplyDeleteThe Sky is Everywhere, without a doubt for 'book released this year'!
ReplyDeleteHowever, I read the Hunger Games series this year and I feel ruined for all other books. My "impressed" bar sky-rocketed. Collins re-set the curve!
Thanks for letting me join in the fun http://themodpodgebookshelf.blogspot.com/2010/12/second-hand-saturday-4.html
Black Magic Sanction! I was dying for that to come out, having read all the rest of the series and I wasn't disappointed :)
ReplyDeleteKate1485 at hotmail.com
My favorite 2010 book has been Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick!
ReplyDeleteEither Wintergirls by Laurie Halse Anderson or If I Stay by Gayle Forman! Both were amazing!
ReplyDeleteThere were so many great ones released this year, but Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver is definitely my favorite.
ReplyDeleteThe best book I have read this year is The Distant Hours by Kate Morton. LOVED IT!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite book this year is between Burned and Mockingjay. I love both series!
ReplyDeleteMy #1 favorite 2010 book is definitely Rot & Ruin by Jonathan Maberry! Also, I have to mention that I also absolutely loved The Exiled Queen by Cinda Williams Chima & The Light by D. J. MacHale!
ReplyDeleteI loved FEED by Mira Grant which I read this year.

MOCKINGJAY!!!
ReplyDeleteMockingjay. Hands down! :) That book had me in tears.
ReplyDeleteThe Demon's Covenant and Clockwork Angel are tied for the best books I've read this year. Both are really great! :)
ReplyDeleteI know a lot of people didn't like it but I have to go with Mockingjay!
ReplyDeleteBefore I Fall.
ReplyDeleteBest huh? Hmmm...that's not easy at all. I think Eon: Rise of the Dragoneye and The Hunt of Atlantis. ^^
ReplyDeleteMy favorite book this year is definitely Mockingjay.
ReplyDeleteReleased this year ... hard to pick JUST one BUT I think I will have to say Spirit Bound by Richelle Mead ( for series) and Lonely Hearts Club by Elizabeth Eulberg for debut!
ReplyDeleteThat's really difficult. I'm reasing Matched by Ally Condie and I'm relly liking that, But I really loved Mockingjay and I am Number Four. I really loved all of these an can't decide which one is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite book released this year is Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins
ReplyDeleteI think it would be MATCHED by Ally Condie. But also CRAZY by Han Nolan.
ReplyDeleteWhen Blood Calls by J.K.Beck was my favorite.
ReplyDeleteSue B

Chloe Neill's Twice Bitten! Was totally worth the wait:)
ReplyDeleteI really liked Ted Dekkers book Immanuel's Veins. Tore923@aol.com
ReplyDeleteMy absolute favorite book I read this year was release December 29th, 2009, but it says it is "January 2010", so I don't know if that counts, but the book is Shades of Grey by Jasper Fforde. One of the best books I read this past year that I know for a fact was published in 2010 was X-Isle by Steve Augarde.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely loved "Danann Frost Falls From Grace" by Joanne Valiukas.
ReplyDeletethe_happy_soul AT yahoo DOT com
I don't think I can choose between Will Grayson, Will Grayson and Mockingjay just because they are two completely different books.
ReplyDeleteMockingjay!
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower, and the novel that sticks with me for the best this year I think has to be Cassandra Clares Clockwork Angel. I really enjoyed that one.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite book release this year is The Hollow by Jessica Verday
ReplyDeleteluarroyave(at)hotmail(dot)com
Before I Fall for sure!
ReplyDeleteDemon's Covenant! And Iron King and Iron Daughter :) I can't really pick only one book lol.
ReplyDeleteaprilxu2222@gmail.com
That's a really hard choice... but I'd have to say Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite book read this year is The Hunger Games!! I started reading the trilogy without knowing If it would be good, and I am loving it!!
ReplyDeleteThe BEST BOOK that I've read this year and that had caught my attention was Suzanne Collin's Mockingjay. It is a very great book. I love the twist and turns in the story and the changes in the lives of the characters. Love it!
ReplyDeleteHmm...I would have to say it was a tie between Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins and Nightshade by Andrea Cremer.
ReplyDeleteThere are just too many good ones!
This is a hard question to answer. But I would have to go with either Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare or Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins.
ReplyDeleteThe best book released this year? CLOCKWORK ANGEL" Cassandra is a brilliant writer and does not disappoint with her new series:)
ReplyDeleteMockingjay!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's so hard to pick just one, but I am going to say Behemoth by Scott Westerfeld.
ReplyDeleteThere are a lot of great books that I read that were released this year. I think I'll go with Birthmarked though.
ReplyDeletejlynettes @ hotmail . com
Best book.. released this year? That's a tough one :D (Can't believe 2010 is almost over! :O Geesh)
ReplyDeleteI think that'll be The Thin Executioner by Darren Shan. (And not just because I went to his signing and that book has a dedication in it :D) I'm just a huge Shanster, and I think that this book was fantastic. Come to think of it, I should really re-read it!
The Sky is Everywhere is another one. I was really impressed with it (: (And NOT just because of the uber-cool format and the blue ink xD)
Oh, and Mockingjay was great too, naturally! C:
And if I'd read Clockwork Angel and Matched, I'm sure they'd be on this list too. No question about it :D
But in short, The Thin Executioner!
Read it!
The Iron King and Mockingjay tie.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite book that I've read so far this year is The Iron King. I can't wait to get to the bookstore and get The Iron Daughter!
ReplyDeleteI'd say "Spirit Bound" for international release and "Hunger Games" for Brazilian release.
ReplyDeleteIt was definitely Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins. I wasn't waiting for that book in great anticipation and while it devastated me in many ways, it did not disappoint.
ReplyDeleteThe Dead Tossed Waves by Carrie Ryan

deadtossedwaves at gmail dot com
My favorite that I have read is Mockingjay. There are so many new releases that I have not yet read.
ReplyDeleteThis is WAY to difficult of a question! I loved LINGER and BEAUTIFUL DARKNESS. I'm sure there are others that I just can't think of... Those two are ones that I was waiting for, so they come to mind.
ReplyDeleteIt has to be The Reckoning for me by Kelley Armstrong. After such a long wait it finally came out, and the trilogy ended the way it was supposed to. I think for some readers it left a lot of questions unanswered, but I personally didn't have any problems. I loved every bit of it.
ReplyDeleteBesides, the book in the next trilogy of this series is coming out soon :D Whoo-hoo!
My favourite book this year was Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare, I did love Mockingjay too though :D
ReplyDeleteThanks for the Secondhand Saturday :)
I cant even begin to pick one! Nightshade by Andrea Cremmer, Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare, Halo by Alexandra Andornetto, Iron Fey series by Julie Kawaga I'm reading at the moment!!! I can go on and on! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Darkness and Mockingjay! (and I`d also like to add The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner)
ReplyDeleteI read a number of really good books this year but the first that comes to my mind whenever i hear that question is Mockingjay
ReplyDeleteI've read tons of great books this year. I think the books that gave me the most impact was House of Night's Burned. I loved the whole forbidden love between some of the characters in this book. So, it has my love. I highly recommend it. :D
ReplyDeleteI think my favourite book this year has been Anna and the French Kiss. It was so good! But there have beenloads of great books this year :D
ReplyDeleteMy favourite book released this year would have to be Spirit Bound (as part of a series) or Before I Fall (as a stand alone). I'm so excited for Last Sacrifice's release!!

ReplyDeleteThat is a very hard question. I've been busy with school so I probably missed the best ones, but I think it goes to Mockingjay. No one did better in my list than Ms. Collins!
ReplyDeletevicky216n@hotmail.com
I thought Paranormalcy was a really fun read!
ReplyDeletearallison(at)gmail.com
My favorite is probably Mockingjay. There were a lot of other really great books, but Mockingjay was the most fabuolous conclusion to a series I've read.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite book this year was Bleeding Violet by Dia Reeves. Her story and writing is just so unique and different. I absolutely love her work!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorites this year was The Candidates by Inara Scott. I can't wait to read the next book. Like a lot of others that commented before me, I really liked Mockingjay too.
ReplyDeleteAw, man, that's a difficult question! I guess I'd pick PARANORMALCY by Kiersten White or BEFORE I FALL by Lauren Oliver.
ReplyDeleteChloe Neill's Twice Bitten
ReplyDeleteDarkness becomes her by Kelly Keaton
ReplyDeleteraluk.93 at gmail (dot) com
