Excited for Hourglass By Myra McEntire

I don't do a whole lot of these, but I just wanted to say how excited I am for this book!  Myra Mcentire was one of the first book people I "met" on Twitter, and I just thought she was one of the nicest people!  I didn't even realize at the time that she was an author with a book coming out.  Of course, on Twitter, everyone's an author, right?  Anyway, I've been so anxiously waiting for her book, and so I was really happy to see her release the cover a couple of days ago!  AND I LOVE IT!!  It is seriously one of the coolest covers I've ever seen.  Turn your head sideways and look at it!  Crazy cool!

"Since the age of fourteen, Emerson Cole has seen strange things – dead things – swooning Southern Belles, soldiers, and other eerie apparitions of the past. She’s tried everything to get rid of the visions: medication, counseling, asylums. Nothing’s worked.

So when Emerson's well-meaning brother calls in yet another consultant from a mysterious organization called the Hourglass, Emerson’s willing to give it one last try.

Michael Weaver is no ordinary consultant. He's barely older than she is; he listens like no one she's ever met before; and he doesn't make her feel the least bit crazy. As Emerson ventures deeper into the world of the Hourglass, she begins to learn the truth about her past, her future--and her very life.

A seductive time-slip novel that merges the very best of the paranormal and science fiction genres, Myra McEntire’s Hourglass is a stunning debut from an author to watch."

Paranormal and Science Fiction?  This should be very interesting, my friends!!  Make sure you go swing by Myra's blog and give her a big fat congratulations!  I'm sure it would make her smile! :D  HOURGLASS releases May 24, 2011 from Egmont USA.

I WANT!

I'm excited, too, but more excited that you're excited!

  2. Wow, I think this is the first real summary I've read of Hourglass besides the PM summary. I'm srsly stoked about this one. Like you, I met Myra through Twitter, and she's one of the nicest and most approachable authors. I was also fortunate to meet her live and in person at the Decatur book festival. I look forward to reading as well as pimping the greatness of Hourglass!!

PS. I love that she's a fellow Southern Belle!
