Love the contest great idea
ReplyDeleteI'm not participating in any blog contest right now, but I'm setting a goal for myself to read 200 books this year :D
ReplyDeleteAlice <3
I haven't signed up for any challenges yet so far.
ReplyDeletelesly7ch(at)yahoo(dot)com
I set myself a reading challenge on my blog to read 100 books this year...
ReplyDeleteI set my own because i have noticed a lot of challenges set by others they like to tell you what to read. I didnt like that... sometimes the best books ive read are those i have stumbled upon.

ReplyDeleteI'm not participating in any contests currently but I'm challenging myself to read a wider range of books that are from genres that I would not normally read.

ReplyDeleteHi, Andye! =) These are the challenges I've signed up for:
Victorian Literature Challenge @ Subtle Melodrama
YA Novels of the 80s and 90s @ The Book Vixen
Foodie Challenge @ Joyfully Retired
Retold Fairy Tales and Enchanted Cousins @ Among the Muses
I hope you don't mind if I link to my own posts about these challenges rather than to the hosts' blogs: Reading Challenge Post A -- Reading Challenge Post B.
Like the other commenters, I was also inspired to create one my own, which is just a private reading project at the moment. I was upset when an A-Z authors challenge for Mysteries had a rule against YA and MG novels, so I decided to do the challenge on my own, sticking only to YA and MG Mystery authors. I've already read two books for it, but haven't put up a post yet.
Not taking part in any but my own, it's where I actually try to finish all the books my degree has set for me to read.
ReplyDeleteAh, the beauty of a student life :)
I'm just doing the plain ole Goodreads one and the 2011 DAC.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I could handle more than those, as I'm new to blogging and just got into reading again. I already have quite a big pile to read, so I feel bad for people with alot more than I :P.

ReplyDeleteI'm participating in the Goodreads challenge by trying to read 130 books in 2011.
ReplyDeleteI haven't signed up for any blog challenge but I'm challenging myself to read some books I wouldn't usually read such as: chick-lit ones (I intend to start with Sophie Kinsella's "Can You Keep a Secret"); YA contemporary ones (I'm planning to read "Anna and the French Kiss"); and some classic ones (Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice" is on the way! I know, shame on me I haven't read yet!).
ReplyDeleteI went a smidge challenge crazy again this year and signed up for a handful of them.
ReplyDeleteI'm participating in:
The A-Z Reading Challenge hosted by Steph of Thoughts of a Book Junkie.
2011 Manga Challange hosted by Rhinoa of Rhinoa's Ramblings
Graphic Novels Challenge 2011 hosted by Vasilly of 1330V
The L.J. Smith Reading Challenge- I'm hosting this one on my blog.

The challenge that I am working on right now is on Goodreads.com to read 50 books this year.
ReplyDeleteI'm participating in two challenges so far. The Goodreads one where I challenged myself to read 100 books this year (which I might end up raising the number) and the A-Z Challenge from Steph (The Thoughts Of A Book Junky) where you have to read a book for every letter in the alphabet.
ReplyDeleteThanks for another fantastic giveaway! :)
I'm not in any challenges so far. But i'm trying to read 100 books total this year!!
ReplyDeleteI'm participating the one on Goodreads, where I challenge myself to read 100 books this year.
ReplyDeleteI'm participating in the Goodreads reading challenge! My goal is 100 books. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm also participating in Zimlicious's 50 Books in a Year Challenge.
I'm planning to do more challenges once I'm relieved of some homework enough to go to the nearby library!

I'm not participating in any blog contest right now...but I'm planning to read twice the books that I've read last year.
ReplyDeleteclarissa.bulatao at yahoo.com
I am in 2, both are hosted by Book Chick City.
ReplyDeleteMystery and Suspense and Horror and Urban Fantasy.
Lane
I have never signed up for any challenge. But maybe next year. ^^
ReplyDeleteThanks.
I haven't signed up for any challenges because they usually require you to write reviews, and I'm terrible at writing reviews.
ReplyDeleteI'm not participating in any contest, this year i'm so occupied, but i'll try to read 100 books :|
ReplyDeleteraissa.1711@gmail.com
The only challenge I've signed up for is on Goodreads. I've set a goal to read 100 books this year. I'm a little behind, but that's ok. I set the goal in February, so I think I'm doing ok so far.
ReplyDeleteI'm not participating in any challenges. The only challenge I'm taking part is reading my stack of TBR books and listing them on Bookmooch once I'm done. It's a challenge that never ends:)
ReplyDeletespamscape [at] gmail [dot] com
At the moment I'm signed up for over 35 reading challenges :) They're a lot, so I'll mention some of them below:

- Lords of the Underworld Reading Challenge & Book Blogger Recommendation Challenge @ Reading with Tequila
- Debut Author Challenge @ The Story Siren

I'm definitely challenge addict :)
I'm participating in the Amazon.com: Best of 2010 Reading Challenge hosted by Reading with Martinis where you read 10 books from both the Editor Picks list and the Customer Favorites list by Nov. 30, 2011.
ReplyDeleteAlso on Goodreads, I am doing the 50 Books in 2011 challenge. I only have 11 so far, so I need to ramp it up!

i'm not participating in any blog challenges now. But i'm making my goal to read 100 books this year :)

ReplyDeleteI'm participating in something called "Desáfio Mágico" (Magic Challenge, roughly), hosted by a blog here in Brazil, Nem Um Pouco Épico(nemumpoucoepico.blogspot.com. I have to read through all Harry Potter books once again, in the now 5 months left for the release of Deathly Hallows Part 2! It's actually just the same as the Harry Potter Challenge in To Read or Not To Read, only hosted by a blog in Portuguese!
ReplyDeleteIt's really cool and I also wanted to just re-read them to see what I would think now that I've sort of grown up... Well, here's my shot!
