ReplyDeleteJamie is going to be great because he is playing Jace! I have faith that he is the right fit for Lily. We didn't see the audition or the chemistry between them.

ReplyDeleteI am terribly disappointed. He is not in anyway what I pictured Jace to be. He's too girly looking in my opinion. Even though Jace is described as angelic, I always thought of it in a MALE angelic way, not in a girly way. I really think they made the wrong decision, but we'll see.

I enjoy reading every one's opinion, I personally think he is a little too girly looking. He is going to have to own the role completely for me to fall in love with him!
ReplyDeleteeveryone was negative about robert pattinson too when he was cast as edward cullen now everyone is goo goo gaga over him, so i think no one should rush to judgement. but the only comment i will stick by and say is that - he SHOULD get rid of those tight/skinny jeans.. a big no no please.

He's a great actor, but I just can't see it happening! The only thing he has going for him that makes him slightly Jace-y, is the cocky vibe around him.
ReplyDeleteDon't get me wrong, maybe he will be awesome, but this casting is just.. disappointing to say the least. But hey, maybe he completely owns the role!
PS: About Rob getting the role as Edward; I didn't like it when I heard he got the role, and I still don't like him. At all. But that's just a matter of personal opinion :)
I think he is about to marry Bonnie Wright who plays Jenny Weasely on Harry Potter!

ReplyDeleteHe wouldn't be my first choice either, but I think he looks more like Jace than Alex Pettyfer does. We'll just have to see what he looks like with his hair fixed up and his American accent. He might be really good!
ReplyDeleteHe's the lead in HBO's Camelot - playing Arthur. I think he's a great actor. So, I guess I'll just have to see. My first choice as with many others was Alex Pettyfer. He's the embodiment of Jace.
ReplyDeleteYeah, but Alex was too old looking to play as 17 year old. I mean, his face was so skinny, it looked like he was anorexic or something...he wasn't attractive at all! Jamie Bower, although he's not a guy I would have a celebrity crush and I don't think he'll be the next Heartthrob, looks better than Alex Pettyfer for sure! I've only seen one episode of Camelot, and he was a great actor! We will just have to see.

No one else can play as Edward! He's the embodiment of Edward! I think Jamie will be really amazing when we hear his American accent :)

I think fans should try and keep an open mind. It's been months since Lily was cast and Alex turned down the role. They took their time looking for him and I don't think they would have thrown the role at just anybody.
ReplyDeleteI always get annoyed with people who judge an actor by their appearance in other projects. Before complaining about his appearance in Camelot or Harry Potter, wait for an image of him as JACE.
He's not exactly who I would have pictured as Jace, but I'm super excited for the movie and I'll have faith that he does a great job :) People have surprised me in the past.
