Author's Blog:

A lot has changed in the six months since Evie escaped from the International Paranormal Containment Agency with her shape-shifter boyfriend, Lend. She finally has the blissfully normal life she’s always dreamed of, including:
1) A real live high school
2) A perfectly ordinary after-school job
3) Her very own locker (and by the way, rusted metal is every bit as awesome as she imagined)

But Evie’s not-so-normal past keeps creeping up on her...and things get pretty complicated when you factor in:
1) A centuries-old, seriously decaying vampire stalker
2) A crazy faerie ex-boyfriend who is the perpetual bearer of really bad news
3) A major battle brewing between the faerie courts where the prize in question happens to be...Evie herself.

So much for normal.

My Review:

Okay, so is the cover bleeping gorgeous or what?!?!  I absolutely LOVE it!! Evie is once again the funny lovable character she was in Paranormalcy except this time she's got to deal with life.  Normal, high school life.  Crazy teenagers, assignments, and the fact that Lend is now off at college, but it's all going to be okay because she has a locker.  And I'm going to be honest, never having a locker myself, I kind of have the same obsession she does.  I would be crazy excited to have my very own locker!  But  Evie also has to deal with paranormals, I.P.C.A., and Jack.  Jack is an absolutely hilarious character.  He's constantly messing around and being irritating, but in a fun, lovable way, if that makes any sense.  Lend is as irresistible and adorable as ever.  And Evie's life is still completely insane.

The only thing that disappointed me a little was how little Evie and Lend were together and happy.  And I know it wouldn't be a story if life was perfect and everyone got along, but Evie only got to see Lend on the weekends and on top of that, they seemed to be arguing about things all the time. Yes, I understand that people fight and c'est la vie but I was dying for some romance, I'm a girl so don't judge;).
Other than that, the writing was (of course) fabulous and hilarious and quirky and I loved it!  Evie was down-to-earth, funny, and I loved hearing her story.  I absolutely CAN'T WAIT for the next one!! Also, Andye will be posting her review closer to the publication date!

  6. Oh so glad to read your review -- it's the first I've read of this book, and I've been dying to find out how it is! I'm disappointed there's not more Lend! That's the #1 thing I was looking forward to: More Evie and Lend!!!
