  21. I absolutely love scary books and I'd have to say that the scariest one I have read is Heart Shaped Box by author Joe Hill (son of Stephen King!). It's had a lot of mixed reviews, but loved it and it scared the crap out of me. My husband felt the same way about it.

  27. I haven't read a really good scary book in a LONG time. Long enough that I don't remember its name. However best creepy book I have read recently is Beyond the Grave by Mara Purnhagen. I know might seem silly but I already have a thing with ghosts and such so I was jumpy for weeks.

  40. Can I saw Moby Dick, because it was terrifying that I had to read that paper-waster and that it was shocking I didn't set myself on fire rather than have to read it??? (yeah, I think you can tell it wasn't exactly my favorite read...)

  41. As I don't actively read scary books (because I am the biggest wuss in town) I'm not sure if this would be a good one, but I found parts of Rot & Ruin by Jonathan Maberry pretty creepy. Zombies are about as scary as I can handle!
