Nastasya has lived for hundreds of years, but for some reason, life never seems to get any better. She left her spoiled, rich girl life to find peace at River's Edge, a safe haven for wayward immortals. There, she learned to embrace River's Edge, despite some drama involving the sexy Reyn, who she wants but won't allow herself to have. But just as she's getting comfortable, her family's ties to dark magick force her to leave.

She falls back into her old, hard partying ways, but will her decision lead her into the hands of a dark immortal? Or will it be her first step to embracing the darkness within her?
I am so in love with Cate Tiernan and the Immortal Beloved Series! I loved Immortal Beloved, and I loved Darkness Falls (Immortal Beloved 2) even more. Cate Tiernan is really good with writing series books. I don't know if you have heard/read the Sweep Series, it was phenomenal. Even with it's fifteen books, Cate just knows how to keep you totally wanting more and keep you very engaged with the storyline.

Darkness Falls arrived in my mailbox last Saturday and I had it read forty-eight hours later. It was that good. The romance between Nastasya and Reyn is even more enticing, yet difficult. I love Reyn, he is very patient with Nastasya. She has a dark difficult past, and so does Reyn. Both of their past makes it very difficult for them to be together, which I like! I like the fact that they really have to work at NOT loving each other, however what they try to do is not working. They are naturally drawn to each other.

Nastasya totally gets into a big mess in Darkness Falls which has you (the reader) yelling at her for being both stupid and distrusting of everyone who is trying to help her. Although 'You' end up cheering for Nastasya and her dumb choices, she really does try to make up for her stupid mistakes. Reyn of course makes everything better, also everyone at River's Edge is always rooting  for Nastasya to succeed. Even though she is 450 years old, yet looks like a seventeen year old, she has a lot to learn. River's Edge (a home for Immortals) is there just to help and teach things such as; magick, spells, circles, meditation, growing crops, baking bread and anything else healthy, natural and just plain good for you.

Start with Immortal Beloved if you are interested in reading about the romance between Nastasya and the Viking-god-look-a-like Reyn. Read about their past and why it's so difficult for them to be together (even though they can't stay away from each other!) Then go on to Darkness Falls and see why it's important for them to work together, this series will have you on the edge of your seat. I promise.
