The Host (by Stephenie Meyer) Official Movie Trailer!

This is seriously my week!! First I get to go see the midnight Hunger Games movie (awesome w/ some flaws), and now I see the movie trailer for The Host has been released! (I won't even mention the fact that I'm leaving tomorrow for HARRY FREAKING POTTER WORLD!!) I'm so, so excited about this movie. The Host is one of my all-time favorite books. Amy and Kit even read it and loved it (even though they won't touch Twilight with a ten-foot pole).

So I guess you want to see the trailer.....

Wow!! It's really happening!!! It's a long wait, but I felt that way about The Hunger Games too, and that time just flew by! I think I'm most excited to see how they handle having Melanie speaking to Wanderer. It will be really interesting to see how they pull that off without being cheesy.

If you haven't seen the new pics of Saoirse Ronan and Max Irons filming, check them out here.  I got chills when I saw them.  I think Saoirse is going to be freaking awesome.  She plays tough and vulnerable so well, I can't imagine anyone being better for this part.

Also, make sure to check out The Host Movie facebook page for all the latest news!

Here goes the waiting game!!!

  3. I have been waiting for this forever... at first I thought this was this beginning of the Hunger Games movie when I was at the midnight premiere (and I was really confused) but then I realized it was the "trailer" for the Host... Then my mind was blown away.

  4. It was so cool, I loved it :) I enjoyed the book and since it was so long, I felt like I knew the characters personally. Can't wait for the movie :)

  5. I am not in love with this trailer; it feels like a book trailer, not a blockbuster movie trailer. I don't know, I hated the "first look" at the HG, too. I'm sure they'll drag this one out.

    1. I was thinking the same thing about it looking like a book trailer and not a movie trailer. I wonder if that's because it's so early, or do you think they'd have done it on purpose because only book people would be interested in it at this point? hmmm

  6. I read The Host before Twilight, and I have to say this makes me so freaking happy!

  7. I'll be the voice of dissension. Eventually they'll run out of Stephenie Meyer books to make into movies, right?

  8. Hmm I'm not really crazy about the trailer, it doesn't give us enough to grab our interest!

  9. I love the book and have ben eagerly waiting for the movie but I was a little disappointed in the trailer. It was so...boring. I guess the trailers will get better once they get more filming done.

  10. I love the Twilight series! I was so into the books, that when The Host came out, I had to read it. I was so thrown off by the beginning of the book (what, no shiny vampires?) that I put it down. I tried picking it up at least 2 more times. Then, once I had weaned myself off the vampires just a little, I tried to read it again. This time, I was hooked!! I have read The Host more times than any other book, and it is now my favorite book of all time. I don't think that I have sobbed when reading any other book. Having said all that, I can't believe that we have to wait a year for this movie!! Argh! I do like the trailer, and love the eyes! Yay!!

  12. I STILL NEED TO READ THIS!!!!
I got it a while back from the library and within the first few pages I knew it was going to be something good. Not a big fan of Twilight but this one seemed different. Unfortunately I didn't have the time to read it then (have you SEEN the SIZE of this book) but a trailer means I should get a move on and get reading now.
Love Saoirse Ronan, she's an amazing actress so I don't mind having her in my head as the MC.
