Welcome to Second Hand Saturday!
In an attempt to clear our bookshelves, and pass on great used books to ourstalkersfollowers, Amy, Kit, Abigaile, Austin and I have decided to hold weekly giveaways of some of the books on our bookshelves! Every Saturday, we will post the books available, and the following Saturday, we will announce the winner and our next challenge. The winner will get to choose a book from the list and we will ship it to that lucky person! Each week we will have a different challenge to complete.
This Week's Question:
There are a lot of genre mash-ups lately (like The Immortal Rules combining Vampires and Post-Apocalypse). What genre mash-ups would you like to see more of?
Just comment below to be entered!
And this week's winner is...
M.A.D.
Email me at Readingteen1(at)gmail.com with your book choice. Please put "winner" in the subject line. You have one week to claim your prize!

I would have to say, don't mind my answer I'm weird,...mermaids & Dystopian. I mean mermaids have become a popular recently why not combine it to Dystopian. Great Question =)

I like contemporary and historical fiction together. Like in Waterfall by Lisa Bergren where a contemporary MC goes back in time so then it's a historical fiction. Fun fun!
ReplyDeleteKathryn
Clean Teen Fiction
Clean Adult Fiction
Romance with action :)
ReplyDeleteWell, I would like to see more like the Immortal Rules :D I like Dystopian. But I also like Fantasy. And I need romance. Also enjoy Paranormal. Only YA, though. :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite would be zombie action (not like a post apocalyptic situation) and romance. Like the books: "The Zombie Queen of Newbury High", and "Never Slow Dance With a Zombie"
ReplyDeleteAnything mixed with vampires. Im all about vampires! :)
ReplyDeleteI would like to see witches and dystopians, or more witches and faeries.
ReplyDeleteVampires and historical fiction :)
ReplyDeleteI'd say Robots+Vampires+dystopian
ReplyDeleteProbably Steampunk and Angels
ReplyDeleteHmmmm.....gargoyles and dystopia! The could be truly interesting, I think.
ReplyDeleteDystopian and Angels: I still have a great love for the Warriors from Heaven.
ReplyDeleteA classic Fairytale in a Post-Apocalypse World. Yes, that would be awsome!
ReplyDeleteI like Dystopian with Romance
ReplyDeleteI love fantasy. Perhaps fantasy and dystopia. Fantasy and steampunk sounds great as well. :-)
ReplyDeleteZombies and dystopia! That would be cool :)
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy sci-fi and dystopian. I think it could be neat to combine them. :)
ReplyDeleteI would really enjoy a thriller and romance mash-up. They are both genre's I like, so why not combine them?
ReplyDeleteEnd-of-the-world and romance lol:)
ReplyDelete-JennyC
I love the mash-up of paranormal and dystopian. I'd love to see more of that.
ReplyDeleteI'd LOVE more of Vampire and Dystopian :)

ReplyDeleteScience fiction and fairytale retellings!
ReplyDeleteI need to read it ASAP - vampires are one of my favorite things ever and I love dystopian books. Personally, I feel like fae are sometimes forgotten, so I'd love to see fae-dystopian!
ReplyDeleteParanormal dystopian. I luke paranormal creatures/things and dystopian novel so if one of them was made, i would definently get it
ReplyDeleteI like dystopian and Sci-fi best.
ReplyDeleteSci-fi and Fantasy :P
ReplyDeleteIt would be an interesting mix
God I love you guys!!! :D
ReplyDeleteGoing to stare/drool/lust over your book list and
email you soon ... THANK YOU SO FREAKING MUCH!! <3
Historical Fiction and contemporary!
ReplyDeleteI would love to read a romantical thriller.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to see more Post-Apocalyptic Classical remakes--Think For Darkness Shows the Stars. I can't wait for that one!
ReplyDeleteI would like more vampire and dystopian.
ReplyDeleteBeing really into sci-fi, I would love to see more robotics and post-apopcalyptic/dystopian novels!
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Leanne
I need more historical steampunk fiction!!
ReplyDeleteMore sci-fi and romance
ReplyDeleteDystopian high fantasy. Yes!
ReplyDeleteromance and different paranormal creatures.
ReplyDeleteSteampunk and paranormal!
ReplyDeleteHistorical dystopian sounds great to me! That would combine two of my favorites. I think that Masque of the Red Death kind of seemed like that, what with the carriages (or else that was a mix of steampunk and dystopian). Either way, I really liked that story. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteI think mixing the supernatural, like Fey, with Post Apocalyptic would be interesting.
ReplyDeleteI like vampire dystopians
ReplyDeleteI'm a huge dystopian fan, so I like the idea of adding fantasy/paranormal to the mix. But I also feel like alternative reality is overlooked. So it would be fun to see an alternate reality with fairies. Or a dystopian alternate reality. :)
ReplyDeleteA mix of dystopian and paranormal!
ReplyDeleteromance + historical = pure love <3
ReplyDeleteI loved the sci-fi/fairy tale mash-up in Cinder, and I would definitely like to see more of that!
ReplyDeleteI have no idea. I read anything except Sci-fi.
ReplyDeleteI have been loving the new twist on an old classic, but Im a supernatural junkee at heart
ReplyDeleteI would love to see more dystopian and sci-fi!!

I would like to see more Steampunk & Mythology. There could be some great concepts out of those two.
ReplyDeleteFairy tale retelling with steampunk would be awesome!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHumor and Mythology/Vampires
ReplyDeleteI would like to see more humor/historical fiction. I have a feeling that George Washington could did all sorts of wacky stuff!
ReplyDeleteOoh, I love mash-ups! I would like to see more historical fantasy and steampunk dystopian. Or steampunk fairytales....that would be awesome. :)
ReplyDeleteHow about a mermaid-zombie twist...might be interesting=)
ReplyDeleteansindt@hotmail.com
Don't zombies disolve in water though?
DeleteI'd have to say Romance and Dystopia.
ReplyDeleteI have been liking the modern adaptations of classic stories which is kind of a mash-up of contemporary and classics. And fairy tales mixed with any other genres.
ReplyDeleteFairy tales + dystopian!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to see more dystopian zombies and futuristic epic fantasy with a romantic twist.
