In an attempt to clear our bookshelves, and pass on great used books to ourstalkersfollowers, we have decided to hold weekly giveaways of some of the books on our bookshelves! Every Saturday, we will post the books available, and the following Saturday, we will announce the winner and our next challenge. The winner will get to choose a book from the list and we will ship it to that lucky person! Each week we will have a different challenge to complete.
There are a bunch of books that are about to be major motion pictures. I have to say, I was so excited about City of Bones, until they cast JCB....I just can't....just. can't. But now I can't wait for Perks of Being a Wallflower. What book-to-movie are you most excited to see?

Catching Fire, of course, but if I'm going to be shameless here...Fifty Shades of Grey would win. I mean, who isn't dying to see who will get cast as Christian???
ReplyDeletecberthelot61(at)yahoo(dot)com
I've been so excited for Perks of Being a Wallflower, but I still haven't gotten around to seeing it. (I swear, the wait has been infinite.) I also can't wait for The Great Gatsby movie.
ReplyDeleteI'm most excited for The Perks of Being a Wallflower. I loved the book.
ReplyDeleteCatching Fire!
ReplyDeleteI am most excited for Beautiful Creatures which is in February but also Perks of Being A Wallflower!
ReplyDeletedanasquare3@aol.com
Catching Fire! The Hunger Games was the best movie EVER! I loved Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss. Awesome, awesome movie, and the books are just as good! :)
ReplyDeleteTHE HOBBIT. Obviously. :D
ReplyDeleteHmmm, I think maybe Perks of Being a Wallflower
ReplyDeleteI am most excited for Beautiful Creatures!!!
ReplyDeleteOh! Shannon has a really good answer! The Hoobit, lol. It comes out two days before my birthday! Aah! Total geekdom has arrived. ;D
ReplyDelete*Hobbit. I got ahead of myself. :)
DeleteHeeeh, I'm actually super excited for City of Bones :) Think JCB look pretty awesome as Jace (A) better than Josh as Peeta in hunger games. So I'm pleased with that ;p Also super excited for The Hobbit :) Thank you for yet an awesome giveaway. <3
ReplyDeleteLove, Carina
The one I'm looking most forward to is City of Bones! I love this series so much, and I have to trust that they're doing a good job with it. Beautiful Creatures looks good as well, although those books aren't my favorite. And also, The Hobbit. That looks beyond awesome!!
ReplyDeleteI'm really excited for the City of Bones movie (even though JCB looks NOTHING like how I imagined Jace), Beautiful Creatures (IT COMES OUT IN FEBURARY!!!!), and DIVERGENT!!!!!!!! (although this doesn't come out until 2014...)
ReplyDeleteThis is a cruel question! Hm. It would have to be Catching Fire--I'm curious/terrified to see where the franchise is going to go now that there's a new director... but whatever happens, it will be cool to see one of my favorite books onscreen :) It's Jennifer Lawrence; how bad can it be?
ReplyDeleteI'm super excited for the City of Bones movie and I recently heard they are making Divergent into a movie so I'm excited for that as well :D
ReplyDeleteI'm excited for The Great Gatsby!
ReplyDeleteLeonardo DeCapprio will make a great Gatsby.
DeleteCity of Bones!
ReplyDeleteThe Book Thief looks fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited for Life of Pi!!! Of course, it's such a weird book that it'll almost certainly be messed up in the film, but at least someone's trying...
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I've been waiting & wishin' & hoping for one of my favorite books to make it to the big screen (I'd even buy POPCORN! lol):
ReplyDeleteThe Forest of Hands & Teeth!!! <3
I've heard yay and nay that it's in the works, but not sure how matters stand at the moment. I want to see that creepy forest & fence translated to the big screen, plus the romantic triangle was beautifully poignant (yeah, it made me cry) :(
Mary DeBorde M.A.D.
I can't wait for Catching Fire!
ReplyDeleteAnd OMG Divergent (best book ever!)
Beautiful Creatures will be interesting to see come alive...
qbanchic@hotmail.com
I can't wait for The Hobbit, Catching Fire, and Divergent. :D Thank you for the giveaway! :D
ReplyDeletethemaniacalbookworm[at]gmail[dot]com
I'm super excited for Tiger's Curse, although that's a while off.
ReplyDeletesiriusblack5@me.com
The Hobbit! I'm sooo excited for this one. Each trailer makes me want it that much more.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win!
I am insanely stoked about the Hobbit and Beautiful Creatures. I keep watching both trailers over and over again, and get excited even more each time I see them!
ReplyDeletemaroliva(AT)comcast(DOT)net
Unwind!!!!! Also, Delirium and Divergent!
ReplyDeleteDivergent! I'm not convinced that Delirium will make a good film, though I really liked the book. Maybe if they work on the flaws and make it a bit more...dramatic for the big screen. By that I mean flesh out the world a bit more, make it actually seem like it's set in the future...
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any other books that will be coming out in film adapt but I'm excited for PERKS and BEAUTIFUL CREATURES. I have them, just haven't read them (yet).
cc932005 at hotmail dot com
I am so very excited to see The Perks of Being a Wallflower! The book just really hit me hard as a teenager, and in all the clips/trailers I've seen it just looks SO FREAKING PERFECT OH MY GOD!!
ReplyDeleteeliweibley(at)gmail(dot)com
I am really excited for Les Miserables....I love the book...but the movie looks amazing=)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad someone actually shares my feelings for Jace's casting. I thought it was only me. Anyway, I cannot wait for Divergent. I absolutely loved the books and I'm dying to see who'd be chosen to play Four! Thanks for the giveaway :)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely agree. I cringe whenever I see the chosen Jace.
DeleteTHE HOBBIT: I am upset that they are turning it into a 3 ring circus though. One decent movie is really all it needs. I will be giving them my money though, because it's Peter Jackson & you just know it will be incredible.
ReplyDeleteI recently read something about Divergent by Veronica Roth and Legend by Marie Lu getting movie deals, and since I'm a HUGE sucker for dystopia, that's what I'd choose. (BTW, is it odd that I'd pick Andrew Garfield, who's almost thirty, to play the eighteen year old Four?)
ReplyDeleteSince there are lots of books that have movie deals - Divergent, Legend, Fallen... I' have to say that I'm most excited for the ones that will be coming out n the big screen soon. I'm most excited for Beautiful Creatures!!! I haven't exactly been following on the updates with the casting, etc. BUT. When I watched the trailer? Wow. I can see that there's chemistry between the actors playing Lena and Ethan. I love!! And it comes out a day before Valentines Day! Perfect! :)
ReplyDeleteThe most anticipating is The perks of being a wallflower, definitely. Then City of bones, Delirium...
ReplyDeleteCheers for the chance!
The Perks of Being a Wallflower looks brilliant, but I'm also really excited about The Hobbit! :)
ReplyDeleteCatching Fire, City of Bones, and The Hobbit! :D
ReplyDeleteThe Hobbit! I SO can't wait for it! It comes out 3 days after my birthday:))
ReplyDeleteAlso, I'm waiting for The Host, even though I don't like the casting choice for Melanie, I imagined her quite differently, but still, I'm interested to see how the movie will look like.
I'm also waiting to see Maggie Stiefvater's Shiver as a movie in 2014, and Lauren Kate's Fallen (no release date set yet). And I'm really curious to see Vampire Academy as live action - it's listed on Imdb.com as an untitled project, so it might be a movie series (like Twilight) or a TV show (like Vampire Diaries). Which would be better?
Beautiful Disaster! I completely fell in love with the book and cannot wait til the movie comes out!
ReplyDeleteI have no idea if they have completed the deals on Lauren Kate's "Fallen" series but if they don't mess up the casting it should be outstanding. I think that's the one I'm really excited about. Thanks for the giveaways every Saturday. It's another great thing about the weekend. ;-)
ReplyDeleteUgh! Don’t ask me this question!! You have now caused internal damage, because I can’t make a decision! So... Do I go with the Hobbit because I loved the Lord of the Rings series? Perks of Being a Wallflower because it looks awkwardly cute? Les Miserables because it looks AWESOME! (haven't read the book, but really, who has?) Then you have great YA movies coming out later like Catching Fire, Tiger's Quest, Divergent, and Unwind *shivers*...
ReplyDeleteI would have City of Bones in the list, but really? The casting makes NO sense, someone please help understand!! BEFORE I GO INTO MELTDOWN MODE.
How could you even ask me to decide?? You purposely must have made this question just to torture me!
OMG Unwind is going to be a movie? I'm reading it in October but it looks awesome! You just made my day!!
DeleteI am sooooo excited to see Catching Fire!!! I absolutely LOVED The Hunger Games! So much so that within the first week or owning the Blu-ray, I watched it like 10 times!! LOL So needless to say, I'm a little obsessed with that series. I'm hoping Catching Fire is just as amazing on screen as it is in the book!!! Also, I am SO excited to see City of Bones!! I am probably one of the few (apparently) who absolutely LOVE who they cast as everyone! I think they are perfect and people who think they got it wrong need to have an open mind! People are so quick to judge a person.
ReplyDeleteThanks for another awesome giveaway & good luck everyone!! ^__^
The Hobbit is high on my list. Catching Fire will be nice to see, tho I felt that Katniss got a bit silly in Book 2.
ReplyDeleteI'd have to agree with you on City of Bones. I hate their Jace choice. BUT they made it up with Magnus. He's always been my favorite character anyway an I don't think they could have picked a better choice for him OR Alec. So I'm still going with City of Bones! I even bought it yesterday so that I could read it again before it comes out next year. I'm so psyched for that movie! Thanks for the giveaway. :D
ReplyDeleteAah! I don't know why but I am SUPER EXCITED for "Beautiful Creatures!" That and "Great Gatsby," in January. Have you SEEN the trailer? It's pretty much amazing.
ReplyDeleteI would have to say "Beautiful Creatures" Every other book that I have been excited for though they messed up. I really got excited for "Blood and Chocolate" but in the movie they changed a set of lovers into mother and son. It was messed up. So I'm nervous now wondering if it will be the same.
ReplyDeletetinyauthor at yahoo dot com
Catching fire and Divergent! I can't wait to see my book crushes come to life on the big screen!
ReplyDeleteI am SO excited for Perks, COB and Les Miserables! I was so mad when they cast JCB as Jace, but then somehow, he kind of grew on me. Les Mis looks freaking awesome!! There was this behind-the-scenes sort of thing, and they said that the actors are actually singing live when they film! Sounds amazing :) Plus, Anne Hathaway ROCKS!!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see The Host. Thanks for the giveaway. Tore923@aol.com
ReplyDeleteI think Beautiful Creatures look great! I will also go see Mortal Instruments even though JCB wasn't my first choice for Jace.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if it's true or not, but I heard a rumor that there might possibly be an adaptation for Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children in the works. If it's true, then I'm super excited! I loved the book, and I would love to see the CG and whatnot they come up with to pull it off. Also, the book doesn't focus to heavily on romance, and I'm usually fine with romance, but I want to see something different. :)
ReplyDeleteI WANT AWESOME TIME-TRAVELING, CREEPY CHILDREN PLEASE. OH AND THOSE CREEPY MONSTERS IN THE BEGINNING TOO.....They may give me nightmare though. I'm starting to rethink this decision.
I'm not looking forward to any of them because I promised myself no more movies from books. I have never found a movie that I like more than its book, so it just upsets me when I see the movie and it ruins my favorite parts of the book.
ReplyDeleteNot a huge fan of books being turned into films to be honest, but the one I possibly, might be, a tiny whiny amount really, looking forward to is Catching Fire. Only because I thought they did an okay job with THG.
ReplyDeleteThe Hobbit! I think it's really cruel to make us wait until DECEMBER! AGR! Movie producers....
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for the Beautiful Creatures movie!
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited for The Hobbit that's one of my favourite books!
ReplyDeleteAlso I'm curious about 50 Shades. I hated the book but I'd like to see what they do with it.
The Hobbit, for sure!!! I've been watching all the entertainment news about it and watching the trailers and I'm SO psyched!!
ReplyDeleteOther than Breaking Dawn Part II which is showing this November,,,
ReplyDeleteI'm most excited for The Beautiful Creatures, heard so much from the bloggers about it..:D
I can't wait to see The Host! I'm very curious as to how they handle the whole cave system and if it will stay true to the book.
ReplyDeletevolta2173 at sbcglobal dot net
Wow, after reading all the comments, I'm so excited about all these great movies coming out! No amount of bad casting can keep me away from City of Bones. I also can't wait for Warm Bodies!
ReplyDeleteI Cannot wait to see the movie City of Bones, bad casting at all I have to see it!! I might cry if the movie doesn't do the book justice. The other book I really want to see is Catching fire because the did pretty good with the Hunger Games.
ReplyDeleteSOOOO EXCITED for Divergent. I absolutely LOVED the book. I know we have to wait almost 2 years. But those will be some exciting times!
ReplyDeleteI am LIT.ER.ALLY frothing at the mouth for Shadow and Bone. LOL, I'm such a fangirl
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for Divergent to come out. I love me some FOUR!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm ready for Perks, Divergent, The Hobbit, City of Bones, Beautiful Creatures, Catching Fire, The Host, Incarceron, Shiver, Heist Society...too many to name. Now we just wait!
ReplyDeleteI agree with the City of Bones casting. It just doesn't work for me. Oh well. They probably couldn't have captured the character right anyway. I am most looking forward to Shadow and Bone. While at the same time I am afraid it won't work out.
ReplyDeleteI'm really looking forward to seeing The Hobbit and Beautiful Creatures. I completely agree with you about City of Bones.
ReplyDeleteSafe Haven, by Nicholas Sparks. Love his stories! And movies!
ReplyDeletenicnac63 AT hotmail DOT com
I'm kind of depressed to say Les Miserables. It's definitely a long, melancholic book, but the musical is so amazing and I know that the great actors taking part in this movie will make it wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteTough question, especially with so many new book-to-movie adaptations set for release! But I'll have to go with Catching Fire though - I didn't have the chance to see The Hunger Games in theater so I'll make it up with Catching Fire! Coming to a really close second is The Hobbit (don't let me start my Tolkien fangirl :P) And I'm also super excited for The Great Gatsby movie, but mainly because I'm a sucker for all Leonardo DiCaprio films (wrong reason, I know). Then there's City of Bones - I haven't read the book yet, but everybody I know who has read it says it's A-MA-ZING!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I heard The Fault in Our Stars is being turned into a movie too - I can't wait!
I was thrilled to learn that City of Bones was being made into a movie, and like you, I was disappointed with the casting. I certainly never thought of Jamie Campbell Bower in the role of Jace, but I suppose I can live with it. What really bugs me now is Lily Collins being cast as Clary. I thought her acting in the movie Abduction was really bad. LOL
ReplyDeleteApart from City of Bones, I'm looking forward to Beautiful Creatures, Catching Fire, Les Miserable and The Host. :)

The Hobbit! I'm definitely starting to become one of those watch the movie before reading the book though otherwise i sit through three movie saying that didn't happen..where'd that character go...that's not what he should look like....
ReplyDeleteLegend! I loved the book so I can't wait for the movie.
ReplyDelete
