They should make Rot & Ruin into a TV show...I love that series=)
ReplyDeleteThe Heroes of Olympus should be a series. There is absolutely no way that three movies could anyway shape or form do those books and all of their information justice. Rick Riordan is an artist :)
ReplyDeleteThe Heroes of Olympus should be a series. There is absolutely no way that three movies could anyway shape or form do those books and all of their information justice. Rick Riordan is an artist :)
ReplyDeleteHmmm I really liked the Shiver trilogy by Maggie steifvater. I know, it's more werewolf but one of the best that fall under that genre.
ReplyDeleteI think the lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout would make a good series. The books are addicting, so I think a television show would be as well.
ReplyDeleteI think the Lost Books series would make for an interesting show. I ate those books up.
ReplyDeleteI think All American Girl by Meg Cabot could make a great miniseries and follow through with the book's sequel.
ReplyDeleteThe Shade trilogy by Jeri Smith-Ready would make a really interesting TV series. Also, since there are so many Souls Screamers books, that would make a great TV show as well.
ReplyDeleteSmart Girls Get What They Want would make a great show. Not only is this book funny with fresh female MCs, but there are so many positive themes and messages to take away from the story.
ReplyDeleteBREAK OUT by Nina Croft would be an incredible series. Space pirates for one.
ReplyDelete+JMJ+
ReplyDeleteDownsiders by Neal Shusterman would make a great series. Season 1 would be all about the civilisation they have created under New York City and the unlikely friendship between a Downside boy and a Topside girl (just like in the novel). And Season 2 . . . Well, I can't tell you. That would be a spoiler. =P But I imagine a clever writer would be able to mine enough material for at least two (maybe even three!) seasons. =)
It's great to be participating in Second Hand Saturday again!
The Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout. JLA wrtes such fantastic stories and I'm dying to see them made into a movie or TV show!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to see the Bright Young things made into a TV show. We need more roaring 20's!!
ReplyDeleteI think the Morganville Vampire series would make for some awesome television!
ReplyDeleteI am SO SO SO excited to see Vampire Diaries back too! There is this series of books I read a while ago called Cheney Duvall M.D. about a woman doctor right after the Civil War. I think it would make a great tv show!
ReplyDeleteI think House of Night series by PC. Cast and Kristin Cast would be great as a TV series.
ReplyDeleteVampire Academy! And maybe Unraveling, by Elizabeth Norris. And also The Heroes of Olympus series
ReplyDeleteI agree with Vampire Academy but I would love to see the Eye of the World series by Robert Jordan
ReplyDeleteThe Chronicles of Vladimir TOD! I have wanted it to be made into a television series for quite some time now.
ReplyDeleteI think Rachel Vincent's Shifters series would make an awesome TV show. The more sexual scenes would have to be a bit toned down and glossed over a bit, but I think it would be awesome! Her Soul Screamers series would be great too!! Other ones that would rock, Jennifer L. Armentrout's Lux and Covenant series, and Matt Merrick's Protector series!!
ReplyDeleteI've read a lot of books that I think would make good movies, but not good TV shows. See here, I think most books, if turned into TV shows, loose their plot because the producers change it, like the Vampire Diaries. But, I think the Lux series would make an awesome TV show. Daemon is hot. Who wouldn't want to see that on their TV every night?
ReplyDeleteI think the earlier House of Night books would make a great series.
ReplyDeleteI always thought the Vampire Acadmey Series or the Morganville Vampire series would make a great tv show! tons of action! and romance ;)
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with all the people who said Vampire Academy :) And, I think the Iron Fey series by Julie Kagaway would make the most amazing TV show series ever! Love Ash and Puck.
ReplyDeleteThe Vampire Academy would be great as a . I also really like The Forsaken and think that would be a great series or movie
ReplyDeleteHouse of Night would be a great series.
ReplyDeleteThe Hunt, Hush Hush, Fallen I think would be very good movies. Thanks for the giveaway. Tore923@aol.com
ReplyDeleteThe Morganville Vampires.
ReplyDeleteI admit that this is NOT one of my favorite series (I like it but it's just not high up there).
But the way the Moraganville Vampires series is set up so there's a different storyline for each book yet it still makes complete sense...
It seems like it would make a great T.V. series!
While a lot of my favorite books (Gone, Divergent, City of Bones, The Iron Fey) would be much better as movies!
Did that make sense?
Georgina Kincaid series by Richelle Mead. There would be a lot of stories to be told about that succubus and her demon, angel and vampire friends.
ReplyDeleteOh yes! The Chronicles of Vladimir Todd, House of Night series... you know what? every book should be seen in a movie or in a tv serie. We all want that.
ReplyDeleteThe Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa! I would love that! Or maybe try Eragon as a TV show instead?
ReplyDeleteI am definitely going to have to say the Paranormalacy series by Kiersten white for several reasons. 1 The main character of the book is just really relate able. She's nice, hilarious, and just trying to make friends and fit in. 2 The story includes many aspects that everyone loves: action, friendship, romance, comedy, suspense, paranormalalacy, and even some mystery. 3 It also has characters that other people will live, too, like the clueless best friend, a hot guy, parent figures, and more. 4 Not only does it have these things, but it also has drama in it like dances, school, and more. It has stuff for everyone.
ReplyDeleteI'm also going to throw The Vampire academies series in there, too. It has a kick- butt heroine, a best friend, family issues, drama, so much action, a forbidden love and more. People would love it. Bleep- they both have it all.
DeleteI think the Uglies series would be great on TV!!!
ReplyDeleteI think so too!! Tally Youngblood on TV every week would be oh so cool!
DeleteSo many books. It's awesome!
ReplyDelete:).
The In Death series by J.D Robb I think would be a mayor kick butt series! I love those books!!
ReplyDeleteTVD is the only book to TV adaptation I've really liked, so I can't say that I'm that excited for another one. I watch True Blood & Game of Thrones, but I don't love them like I do TVD.
ReplyDeletesherrilyn kenyons darkhunters series would make an amazing tv show. ive never watched TVD
ReplyDeleteI would love to see The Forest of Hands and Teeth series on tv! Epic.
ReplyDeleteI was just going to say the same thing! The Forest of Hands and Teeth as a tv series would make my life complete ... it would be like Lost (kinda), everyone walking around in a forest (not an island), except there would also be ZOMBEEEEZ!
ReplyDeleteSeriously, J.J. Abrams + Forest of Hands & Teeth = TV Heaven <333
It would put Walking Dead to shame, methinks ;D
Mary DeBorde M.A.D.
Neat giveaway format!
ReplyDeleteAye....books I'd want to see as TV shows...I actually don't think there really is one, maybe some that would do good movies like Andrea Cremer's Nightshade series..

Hmm, I never actually gave that a thought. Sure, sometimes I think a book would make a great movie, but I never thought about it in terms of a TV series.
ReplyDeleteI love heather wells series by Meg cabot... i think it will make a great show it meg write a few more in the series...
ReplyDeleteI think that Michael Grant's "Gone" series would make a great TV show. :)
ReplyDeleteI would love to see the Lunch Lady series by Jarrett J Krosoczka turned into a cartoon series! It would, of course, be intended for kids, but I would be a regular watcher!
ReplyDeleteI love these giveaways! :) So many good books that you giveaway every week. Thank you
ReplyDeleteHmm i dunno about a TV show, perhaps a movie..the series by Ally Condie - Matched, Crossed, Reached
ReplyDeleteThe vampire Diaries of Course' I can't think of anything else!
ReplyDeleteFor a TV series, I'd have to say maybe Sweet Evil by Wendy Higgins (a supernatural show, kind of like TVD). Or for a teen mystery/procedural style show, I think either Unraveling by Elizabeth Norris or Virals by Kathy Reichs would be perfect.
ReplyDeleteFor possible movies, I could see both My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick and Graffiti Moon by Cath Crowley as really cute indie-style films. And Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi could be such an awesome film translation!
Thanks for the giveaway :)
There's so many! I think Don't Turn Around by Michelle Gagnon would be a great thriller, as well as Unraveling by Elizabeth Norris. Something I do know is that Between the Lines by Jodi Picoult and Samantha van Leer would probably appeal the audience of Disney Channel.
ReplyDeleteGrace
Lust For Stories
I have to say that I'm really hoping The Selection TV show will pull through, but I'm always hesitant about TV adaptations. I don't want them to ruin one of my favorite books!
ReplyDeleteI love love love TVD but I never read the books. It's a first for me actually, I almost always read the books but there is something about those that I just couldn't get into which is so weird because I am so wrapped up int he show. LMAO
ReplyDeleteI would love for them to make The Black Dagger Brotherhood into a television series but I don't think that's ever going to happen, I don't even think we will ever get a movie but it would be so awesome in my head.
I just read the Wishing Spell by Chris Colfer and think that would make another great fairy tale series.
ReplyDeleteI am so happy TVD is back Yeah!!!!!! I need my Daemon fix, lol. I have two series that I wish to be on tv. They are the Chicagoland Vampire Series, and the Morganville Vampire Series. Both are really really good. They have very strong heroines, with great supporting characters, with tons of humor. It should be interesting to see who they cast for Ethan Sullivan, he is just so hot!!!! Oh I wish!!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI think the Inheritance series would make a great televison show! While I say that I command you expel any thoughts of the horrable movie! I think a television would be prefect because then it could follower more closly to the book and not have to worry about it being too long (like you would with a movie)! :D
ReplyDeletexeno_turtle(at)yahoo(dot)com
1. Fearless series by Francine Pascal. But I think they tried it (I didn't watch it) having changed EVERYTHING and it didn't work. As usual.
ReplyDelete2. Wicca/Sweep series by Cate Tiernan. But I've heard that might be happening. I'm sure they'll change things and ruin it. As usual.
As you can see, not a fan of books being made into tv shows or films. The only one that really worked (and is still doing VERY well) is Game of Thrones. VERY PLEASED WITH THAT ONE :D
I think the Morganville Vampires would make an awesome one!
ReplyDeleteThe Gone series by Michael Grant.
ReplyDeleteCas and the rest of the Crew from the "Anna Dressed In Blood" books. I love his voice and could def see a ghost hunting series. So so sad this series ends at book 2.
ReplyDeleteI think that Morganville Vampires would be a great series for a tv show!
ReplyDeleteAs much as I love the Vampire Diaries show and books, the first ones that are actually written by her, I am not a big fan of books turning into shows because they don't follow the book. They totally botch the book.
ReplyDeleteI think The Goddess Test would be a lovely tv-series,since vampires and werewolf are too mainstream this days. This book will definitely give a new flavour in audience, and would make such a alluring Greek Mythology TV adaptation!
ReplyDeleteThis series is a little older but definately The Daughters of the Moon books by Lynne Ewing
ReplyDeleteIt's filled with clothes, magic, romance, and beautifully described scenery.
