In an attempt to clear our bookshelves, and pass on great used books to ourstalkersfollowers, we have decided to hold weekly giveaways of some of the books on our bookshelves! Every Saturday, we will post the books available, and the following Saturday, we will announce the winner and our next challenge. The winner will get to choose a book from the list and we will ship it to that lucky person! Each week we will have a different challenge to complete.
Well, the world didn't end and we're all still here, so to celebrate, we want to know your favorite Post-Apocalyptic or Dystopian read! Just to make it interesting, try to think of a book other than The Hunger Games or Divergent ;) Mine would have to be Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi. I just finished Through the Ever Night and it was AMAZING!!
Just comment below to be entered!
And this week's winner is...

Oooooh I love Wither by Lauren DeStefano!!
ReplyDeleteI also really love this giveaway! So great!
I might be cheating a little here. But I would say, after those Divergent, Immortal Rules by Julie Kagawa. I know it's more paranormal because of the vampire but it's technically a dystopian society now and I love it. I love the book.
ReplyDeleteI love Matched. I could not imagine having only 100 books to read!
ReplyDeleteI also loved Matched and Crossed by Ally Condie. I'd love to have Reached but I'm not sure Santa got my Christmas list this year.
ReplyDeleteTo be honest I haven't really read many. I guess Shatter Me was pretty great, but I think I prefer apocalyptic films more to the books.
ReplyDeleteMine would be ASHFALL by Mike Mullin.
ReplyDeleteMine is Rising by Stephanie Judice.. This book was really good. It had me at the edge of my seat from start to finish.. Also the sequel Resistance...
ReplyDelete- Sarah
I really enjoyed Blood Red Road by Moira Young. Thank you for this giveaway opportunity!
ReplyDeleteI have lots of favorites: Wither by Lauren DeStefano, Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi, and the Gone series by Michael Grant. They're all so good!
ReplyDeleteI would go with The First Days. I've been eyeing that one for a while. Thanks for the awesome giveaway!!
ReplyDeleteI really liked Pure!
ReplyDeleteWither, Breathe!
ReplyDeletedystopian: Delirium & Pandamonium by Lauren Oliver. Looking forward to the finale for this trilogy.
ReplyDeletepost-apocalyptic: The Immortal Rules by Julie Kagawa
Those were the first that popped into my mind, but I know I've read several others which are just as good...
Thanks for the giveaway!
I love the Host by Stephenie Meyer! Just about my all time favorite book.
ReplyDeleteCormac McCarthy's The Road
ReplyDeleteI also loved Under the Never Sky! A favorite that most people haven't heard of and that I haven't read in quite a while is a book called Winterflight by Joseph Bayly. It's not technically a YA, but it was such a haunting book I always think about it when this topic comes up.
ReplyDeleteThis Is Not A Test, by Courtney Summers. So. Amazing!
ReplyDeleteOh there's a lot of good ones. I think I would pick Pure by Julianna Baggott or Legend by Marie Lu. One post apocalyptic, one dystopian. :)
ReplyDeleteI think it's probably Wither by Lauren DeStefano or Legend by Marie Lu.
ReplyDeleteThanks for having this! (:
Mine would be Shatter Me by Taherah Mafi. It's just so good, I can't get enough of it!
ReplyDeleteThis year I read Fear Principle by Barbara Chepatitis. It is Book 1 in the Jaguar Adams series and is set in a future where the moon is populated, but society is still recovering from a time of madness where civilization lurched and many horrid crimes were committed as folks lost their minds.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to cheat and name my top 3. In order, they would be Delirium, The Immortal Rules and Rot & Ruin. They're all SO GOOD.
ReplyDeleteLegend by Marie Lu, I cannot wait for the next book!
ReplyDeleteHey, would Brave New World count? That is an oldie but a goodie.
ReplyDeleteI read so many good post-apocalyptic books this year! Shatter Me is by far my favorite. I listened to the audiobook and it was amazing! It's really more of an emotional love story than anything. Runner-ups are Taking on the Dead, which is about a zombie apocalypse, and the Vampire Apocalypse series by HM Ward. These are more action with romance as a side dish.
ReplyDeleteI think after Hunger Games and Divergent I loved Matched!
ReplyDeleteUglies, definitely Uglies! <3 I still don't know why it's not a movie yet..
ReplyDeleteOh cheese...
ReplyDeleteDystopian is my favorite genre so this is extremely difficult to answer, but...
I'm going to have to go with Angelfall by Susan Ee!
THAT BOOK WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!!
That's a tough one, there are so many to pick from. I think I would say Birthmarked by Caragh M. O'Brien.
ReplyDeleteI love dystopia~! I have too many favorites :o I would choose Middle Ground. Not many people read that yet, but I absolutely loved it! <3
ReplyDeleteAshfall by Mike Mullen! Amazing book!
ReplyDeleteI love the genre. apart from The Hunger Games, I really liked the Uglies series by Scott Westerfeld and especially book 4 Extras.
ReplyDeleteI loved Ashfall by Mike Mullen, and it's definitely my favorite Post-Apocalyptic book. Ashen Winter was just as good.
ReplyDeleteThe Uglies series by Scott Westerfeld.
ReplyDeleteI honestly don't care for Dystopia, but I did enjoy The Giver and 1984 when I had to read them for school.
ReplyDeleteOMG I have soooo many fav. Dystopian books (can you have more than one favorite?:) I really LUV:
ReplyDeleteLegend by Marie Lu
Enclave by Ann Aguirre
Cinder by Merrisa Meyer
Ashes by Lisa Bick
Matched by Ally Condie
And soooo many more. :)
My favourite dystopian novel would have to be 1984 by George Orwell.
ReplyDeleteSo hard!
ReplyDeleteI'll go with Breathe by Crossan
Stephen King's The Stand and the Hunt.
ReplyDeleteMidnight City by J. Barton Mitchell
ReplyDeleteDefinitely Divergent or Delirium!!
ReplyDeleteUnder the Never Sky or Delerium!
ReplyDeleteThe Delirium series are really good ones and so is Article 5. Puts you in a completely different world.
ReplyDeleteI love Blood Red Road and Rebel Heart! Thanks for doing the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteMy favorites are currently Across the Universe, Blood Red Road, and Obernewtyn.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed Blood Red Road
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite dystopian reads is Across the Universe! Thanks for the giveaway!!
ReplyDeletewell of course i LOVE the hunger games & divergent, but my other favorite is Cinder. it was one i put off reading forever, but once i started it i couldn't put it down! can't wait for Scarlet to come out
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorites is Matched by Ally Condie. Thanks for the chance to win and happy holidays!
ReplyDeleteShatter Me or Ashfall!
ReplyDeleteWhy can't zombies just give peace a chance?
ReplyDeleteI love a book called Poison by Chris Wooding, if that counts!
ReplyDeleteLegend by Marie Lu.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway and Happy Holidays!
The immortal rules by Julie kagawa!
ReplyDeleteThe Uglies series by Scott Westerfield. :)
ReplyDeleteBUT if you hadn't said no Divergent, that would be my answer!!! ;)
Blood Red Road by Moira Young. I'm going to read Rebel Hearts as soon as the book arrives from Book Depository :D
ReplyDeleteDo Cassandra Clare's books count? I really enjoyed the City of Bones series
ReplyDeleteI loved Delirium by lauren oliver~~~
ReplyDeletethe whole concept as love being a "disease" was really creative and fun to read about...
I also really loved the book EVE by anna carey <3
even though the plotline wasnt really original and all, the characters were fun to read about and each twist and turn surprised me (in a good way...)
bookworm.hsu@gmail.com
I loved loved loved Under the Never Sky (and Through the Evernight). I also really loved Delirium, Legend, Blood Red Road, Shatter Me and Immortal Rules.
ReplyDeletesnaugle81@gmail.com
Hands down: Poison Princess by Kresley Cole. She creates a pretty scary and well thought out post apocalyptic world that I would STILL like to live in just to get a shot at Jackson
ReplyDeleteDitto on Poison Princess by Kresley Cole. It was amazing!
ReplyDeleteI loved LEGEND by Marie Lu, can't wait for PRODIGY!
ReplyDeleteI loved The Host and The Forsaken
ReplyDeleteOne of my more recent favorites was Ann Aguirre's Outpost :)
ReplyDeleteLegend is on it sway form TBD!! Can't wait to read that and Prodigy. Loved all three books in the Hunger Games series.. They were great, just great.
