When tragedy strikes Michele Windsor’s world, she is forced to uproot her life and move across the country to New York City, to live with the wealthy, aristocratic grandparents she’s never met. In their old Fifth Avenue mansion filled with a century’s worth of family secrets, Michele discovers a diary that hurtles her back in time to the year 1910. There, in the midst of the glamorous Gilded Age, Michele meets the young man with striking blue eyes who has haunted her dreams all her life – a man she always wished was real, but never imagined could actually exist. And she finds herself falling for him, into an otherworldly, time-crossed romance. Michele is soon leading a double life, struggling to balance her contemporary high school world with her escapes into the past. But when she stumbles upon a terrible discovery, she is propelled on a race through history to save the boy she loves – a quest that will determine the fate of both of their lives.
At a Glance:
This book was pretty good, it had lots of romance and fantasy. I wouldn't say this book would be one of my favorites, because it just got really old and boring, and then just too slow for me.
There wasn't really any action in these books, so I can't really say anything about action. There might be a couple punches in the books, but that's really it.
The romance in these books was fantastic! There was some kissing, but not much, and there was a lot of romance between Phillip and Michelle.
I really liked Michelle Windsor's character in these books; she was a little funny, smart, she had great friends and a great mother.
I liked Phillip Walker's character in the books, he was romantic, quirky, handsome, and he loved Michelle.
Favorite Supporting Character:
I liked Michelle's grandparents. They were a bit weird when she first met them but in the second books they really grew on me and I liked them.
Something I loved:
I really liked all of the characters in these books. Like Michelle's best friends Kristen, Amanda, and Elizabeth. They were really funny in the books.
Something(s) I hated:
Sometimes the time traveling got really boring, it was just too slow for me. But the books got really boring towards the end.
Yes, there was a cliffhanger in the last book.
Would I recommend it?:
Only people who really like time-travel type of books.
Did my friends like it?Yes, my mother liked the first book.
Will I buy/keep it?
I think I would maybe buy it, but these books were definitely not my favorite.
