My life had always been blissfully, wonderfully normal. But it only took one moment to change everything. Suddenly, my sister, Georgia, and I were moving to Paris to live with my grandparents. And I knew my life would never feel normal again. Then I met Vincent. Mysterious, sexy, and unnervingly charming, he put me in danger of losing my heart all over again. But I was ready to let it happen . . . until I realized that Vincent Delacroix is no normal human--that he has a terrifying destiny and enemies who are determined to destroy him and all of his kind. Can I risk everything for love?
At a Glance:

I have been meaning to read this book for awhile now. I waited way too long. I loved everything about this book. The romance, the setting, the story, the characters. Die For Me is set in Paris, which really made this book. The author was excellent at explaining what the setting looked like. The cafes and the landmarks were great additions to the story. Paris was a character in this book.

Revenants is a group of people who have sacrificed themselves at some point, in their mortal life, for another human being. The Revenant's come back immortal, and their job is to save people from suicide and accidents. Vincent (Revenant) meets Kate, a mortal, and falls totally in love with her. Kate is not sure about Vincent, while he is completely dreamy, he has a ton of secrets.

Audio:

The audio version was read by Julia Whelan. She was really really good. She had the French accent down perfectly. I enjoyed the audio version tremendously. She made Vincent's voice even sound sexy! I highly recommend listening to this book. Julia Whelan has also narrated Need by Carrie Jones, Envy by Gregg Olsen, Cryer's Cross by Lisa McMann, Frost by Wendy Delsol, The Sweep Series by Cate Tiernan, Magisterium by Jeff Hirsch.

audio: 6 out of 6
Cover:

I really like the cover. The dress and the background just speaks romantic, with some darkness thrown in there.

Action:

There is not a lot of action in this book. However, there are some pretty good tense moments. Normally I like action scenes, but this book didn't really need them to be good. The tense moments were enough for me.

Romance:

The romance. Ah' yes the romance was really good. I felt a nice connection between Vincent and Kate.  I liked that they didn't go fast either. Kate was very good about controlling her urge to just attack Vincent. The chemistry was awesome between the two of them, and their first kiss was worth waiting for. I like when the author doesn't rush it, it takes time to build a couple's chemistry.

Heroine:

Kate. She was very sweet, yet bold. She really loved Vincent and would do anything to protect him.

Hero:

Vincent. Awesome. Very manly. Gentleman. Kind. Protective. Mannerly.

Favorite Supporting Character:

There were so many characters that I loved. All the Revenant's played a big part in this book. I loved Kate's sweet grandparents and her sister Georgia

Something I loved:

The setting. Paris. The French accents. Vincent's gentleman qualities.

Would I recommend it?

Yes. I would recommend this book, if you have a chance to listen to it on audio, go for it!

Did my friends like it?

I know Kit did. I gave her my hard copy months ago (I'm nice that way!), because I didn't think I would ever read it. Now I regret it.

Will I buy/keep it?

Yes, I will probably buy the whole series.

Book Doppelgangers:

Die For Me reminded me of The Mephisto Covenant by Trinity Faegan.
