Second Hand Saturday 4.27.13

Welcome to Second Hand Saturday!
In an attempt to clear our bookshelves, and pass on great used books to our stalkers followers, we have decided to hold weekly giveaways of some of the books on our bookshelves! Every Saturday, we will post the books available, and the following Saturday, we will announce the winner and our next challenge. The winner will get to choose a book from the list and we will ship it to that lucky person! Each week we will have a different challenge to complete.

This Week's Question:
I got this idea from a blog post I commented on at Tales of Whimsy.  If you could only pick three movies to watch for the rest of your life, which three would you pick?  I picked French Kiss, Harry Potter, and Lord of the Rings.  These may not be my absolute favorite movies, but they're ones I could watch over and over and never get tired of them! -Andye

Just comment below to be entered!

And this week's winner is...

        Adult and Non-Fiction

                1. I agree with HARRY POTTER and LOTR. I would choose a Disney classic like MARY POPPINS for my third I think.

                2. I agree with Harry Potter too! the other. Rocky Horror, and the 3rd would be hard to pick but I know it would be some kind of musical or comedy (or musical comedy) because I love musicals and you need to have something that will make you happy and laugh.

                3. Pretty Woman
                  To Kill a Mockingbird
                  The Notebook

                4. I too would choose Harry Potter and definitely the Lord of the Rings, and I'll probably choose Avatar.

                5. I would pick Unhitched, The Notebook and Dirty Dancing

                6. Star Wars, The lord of the rings and The time traveler's wife

                7. Mean Girls, Harry Potter, Easy A

                8. I think I would pick LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring, The Young Victoria, and Pitch Perfect.

                9. I don't have a whole lot of time to watch movies because I am too busy reading!

                10. Twilight, Titanic and Letters to Juliet.

                11. Hmmm...
                  . Dirty Dancing
                  . Stepmom
                  . My Best Friend's Wedding

                  Thanks :)

                13. 3 movies i would watch would be- step up:revolution, Breaking Dawn part2, and Because I Said So

                14. Oh this is difficult! Hm, maybe I'd choose Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Le Fabouleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain, and Billy Elliot.

                15. I would choose Sabrina, Roman Holiday, and Breakfast at Tiffany's. An Audrey Hepburn marathon. <3

                16. I agree about LOTR and HP, but do I have to pick an individual LOTR or HP movie? if so, I guess The Two Towers and Order of the Phoenix. For the third, I think The Princess Bride.

                17. OMG, how do I pick just 3 movies?!?!? lol um uh, I would pick Sherlock Holmes 1, The Hunger Games, and Batman Begins. (gosh, that was hard!)

                18. Twilight, Fight Club and The Gate.
Thanks for the chance to win!

                19. I would pick The Matrix, Equilibrium (starring Christian Bale, swoon), and The Bridges of Madison County! Great question!!

                20. Monty Python and the Holy Grail, The Princess Bride, and Rise of the Guardians.

                21. I think I'd pick Harry Potter, Sherlock Holmes Movie #1, and The Summer Wars~

                22. Harry Potter, Transformers and City of Angels : )

                23. I would pick Harry Potter, Predators, Alice in Wonderland (with Johnny Depp ;)) Thanks that was fun! :)

                24. If I had to pick three movies they would be The Proposal, Harry Potter and The Sound Of Music I think :)

                25. Lord of the Rings, The Avengers, and the Proposal for comic relief.

                26. I'd go with The Princess Bride, Labyrinth, and Grease. I'm obviously a child of the 80s ;)

                  Shannon N.

                27. I would pick, Harry Potter, National Treasure and X-Men :)

                28. My choices are: Titanic, The Never Ending Story, and Tangled.

                  Beckie @ Bittersweet Enchantment

                29. It's a Wonderful Life, Beauty and the Beast, and Family Man.

                30. I would pick Disturbia, Forrest Gump and Tangled!

                31. The Princess Bride (because I could watch this movie on repeat & not get tired of it - it's so quotable!)

White Christmas (the songs are amazing, the story is fun & the romance is totally swoon-worthy)

Dear Ruth (an old, black-and-white movie from the '40s that I saw on AMC once when I was in high school, & I laughed so hard I cried - I've only ever seen it one time since & I loved it just as much as the 1st time. I wish it was available on DVD, because I would totally buy it in a heartbeat!)

                32. Mine are a bunch of girly flicks but they are the ones that if they are one TV I always stop and watch them...The Notebook. Pretty Woman and Dirty Dancing!
