[Indie Spotlight & Blog Tour Giveaway] The Georgia Corbins by Kara Leigh Miller

Make a List
Kara Leigh Miller
I'm a habitual list maker. For as long as I can remember, I've always relied on a list to help me remember things or to help me make a difficult decision. My favorite types of lists are to-do lists, shopping lists, and pros & cons lists. It's this last one that I'm going to talk about today.
As a teenager, I went through the typical teenage angst that most teens do. And I'll be honest, most of it centered around boys and who I wanted to date. Looking back on it now, I know most of it was self-inflicted and silly. Anyway, there were so many times I was faced with having to make a decision between two boys. I'd be dating one and another one would ask me out. Who was I to choose? And how was I ever going to make that choice?
By making a list. That's right. I would sit down with a friend or two and we'd make a pros and cons list for each of the boys in question. In The Georgia Corbins, Ali is faced with having to choose between Levi and Tucker. As if choosing between the two isn't hard enough, they are her two best friends in the whole world. She knows that by picking one over the other, she'll lose one of her best friends. Things seem hopeless, so she resorts to making a pros & cons list. I thought it would be fun to share her lists with you.
Pros:                              Cons:
Best friend                        Best friend
Knows me better than anyone        Likes to get into trouble
Knows how to have a good time
Makes me feel needed
Good kisser
Pros:                            Cons:
Best friend                      Best friend
Hotter than deep fried honeysuckle
A kissing God
Great smile

I'm not going to tell you who Ali picks, because that would ruin the story for you, but I can tell you that after taking the time to make these lists, she doesn't give them a second thought and instead makes a decision guided solely by her heart.

Ali Philips never thought anything could be more devastating than the day Levi and Tucker Corbin, her two best friends—her only friends—moved away. Three years passed without a single phone call, text message, or email from them and she’s resolved to the fact that she will probably never see them again. Until one morning when she comes face-to-face with Levi Corbin in physics class.

Little does she know, the Corbins have returned to Haldeen with only one thing on their minds: winning Ali’s heart. Ali soon finds herself in the middle of a love triangle she doesn’t want any part of. As she tries to reclaim the friendships she’s lost and to adjust to the unfamiliar feelings she’s having, she struggles with making the one decision that will forever change their lives: Levi or Tucker Corbin?

She’s always had a special bond with Tucker and feels most comfortable when she’s with him. But Levi brings her to life in a way she didn’t think was possible and makes her feel things she didn’t think she would ever feel. Torn between the two, Ali is certain of only one thing–by the time it’s over, she’ll lose one of her best friends.
