In an attempt to clear our bookshelves, and pass on great used books to ourstalkersfollowers, we have decided to hold weekly giveaways of some of the books on our bookshelves! Every Saturday, we will post the books available, and the following Saturday, we will announce the winner and our next challenge. The winner will get to choose a book from the list and we will ship it to that lucky person! Each week we will have a different challenge to complete.
I just moved houses (which is why there was no SHS last week), and it got me thinking about where I would want to live if I could live anywhere in the world. I'm not really sure I can answer this accurately, since I haven't been many places, especially out of the US, but I'm going to say South Carolina. All the beautiful beaches, historical places to visit, friendly people, and the amazing food. I just love it there!
Though I've heard Spain is nice.....
How about you?

I reckon South Carolina would be awesome with all it's historical places but I would love to visit Rome. It has such beautiful landmarks and has such a awesome history. Plus it has a lot to do with Mythology and I love fantasy and Mythology
ReplyDeleteI have been moving houses too for the past week but the only place I would live forever in and never feel bored is Venice; I would be surrounded by history all the day, hear Italian every moment, see the lovers wandering the city at night. What a merry world it shall be?! :) ...
ReplyDeleteI love Venice with it's beautiful water ways. I wouldn't mind my hand in Venice.
DeleteI'd like to stay living in Australia, but most definitely on the eastern coast. Just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI live in Australia as well and I love it, there is so much to do. I am lucky because I live in Queensland and it is so warm and sunny.
DeleteI would LOVE to live in Australia.
ReplyDeleteTokyo or maybe Los Angeles.
ReplyDeleteEither England or France, I'm constantly torn between the two! :)
ReplyDeleteI would love to move to the US, probably LA :)
ReplyDeleteIm going to say if I could live any where it would be Ireland.. That would just seem like the place for me:)
ReplyDeleteelliott2668(at)yahoo(dot)com
I would love to visit Ireland my favourite author lives there and he based all his books on it.
DeleteEither Monaco or Aruba. Both are beautiful places, so it's hard to pick one. :)
ReplyDeleteI would love to live in England!
ReplyDeleteI would love to live back in my hometown. My husband and I have moved around over the last 5 years and I would love to be able to move back home and be close to family
ReplyDeleteI read about this blog in the recent PW article about BEA and liked it so much I wrote about it and linked to it from my own blog!

Great job and great blog!
Sue
I thin I'd like living in London :)
ReplyDeleteI actually love my country (Cyprus)and although we don't have any fancy bookstores or huge cinemas which I would love if we did and we are somewhat technologically behind, it's a beautiful country.
ReplyDeleteIf I had to choose another country I would love to live in Italy which is the only one I've visited besides Greece.

I 'd love to live in London. That magical city!
ReplyDeleteI would love to visit London. Especially the London station which has been said add a platform nine and three quarters after Harry Potter
DeleteOregon
ReplyDeleteScotland please. If you could see me you would know know that I have Princess Merida (Brave) hair. I want to go back to my roots! Minus eating hagus..eww
ReplyDeleteScotland please. If you could see me you would know know that I have Princess Merida (Brave) hair. I want to go back to my roots! Minus eating hagus..eww
ReplyDeleteThis is hard. I would love to live in Paris, or maybe London. But there are so many places besides those two that I would love to live in!
ReplyDeleteIm dying to live in New Orleans, Louisiana (<--spelling doesnt look right..)
ReplyDeleteThe place has so much history and a major link to paranormal.. its also 900 something miles from where i am.I read a lot of books that has the place in it too.thats my number 1 place.. I also want to go to Japan, England, California, New York, Florida, South Carolina.. I think I have a lot of places i want to go to-some just to visit..
If I could live anywhere in the world it would be on the beach somewhere warm. It doesn't have to be a specific country just on the beach. :)
ReplyDeleteParis or England although I always wanted to go to Prince Edward Island as well and it looks beautiful up there.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, probably Montreal. The more I think about it, even though it is freezing half the year, it's the city that I visited and instantly fell in love with. Though London, Seattle, and Boston treated me very well too.
ReplyDeleteAs you can see, I'm definitely leaning towards a city :)
I think I would go to Ireland. It just looks so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the great giveaway!
I think I would love to live in Ireland. I am hoping to visit one day. Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteParis. Definitely Paris.
ReplyDeleteHard to say. There are so many places I want to visit, but without seeing them, how would I know if I want to live there? I haven't been many places and to be honest, none of them appeal to me too much. For the moment I'm perfectly content to live right here in my hometown, if only for a little longer.
ReplyDeleteI would live some place exotic. I love Egypt, maybe I would live there.
ReplyDeleteI would have to say Ireland. It felt like home away from home when I visited. :)
ReplyDeleteI'd definitely live in Berkeley, California. It's beautiful, on the ocean, the weather is perfect (for me - I like rain and fog) - near San Francisco, but not the crazy traffic, an awesome culture with the sidewalk vendors, etc. and the university.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to give two answers.
ReplyDeleteIn the U.S. = I live in the south and love it. I know that isn't a 'state', but I've lived in many of the southern states and each has it's own charm. Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina...ahhh. There's no place like a home in the south. :)
Outside of the U.S. = Italy. Lucca to be exact. I visited this charming medieval-walled pedestrian town two years ago and I'm going back in October. It is a magical place with fascinating history, beautiful architecture, and delightful residents. Rome isn't far, and is rich with history and incredible landmarks, but Lucca is even more special. I can't wait to return.
I live Alabama, and I love it here. But, if I had to choose elsewhere, I'd choose Spokane, WA....because my fiance' lives there and I would get to be around him everyday.
ReplyDeleteI would choose either Hawaii or Australia. I like a place with good surf. <3
ReplyDeleteI've actually always imagined living in South Carolina, too! Somewhere in the South like that, with the historic look and relaxed pace. I'm not cut out for big city life, and I'd need to be somewhere close enough to go to the beach :)
ReplyDeleteIreland would be cool because of the history there and a family connection.
ReplyDeleteI would live in Italy because that's where my family came from.

Hmm if I pick a place that I've been then I'd have to go with Oregon, somewhere along the coast like Newport. If I go with a dream place I'd have to with either London or Helsinki, Finland.
ReplyDeleteI would definitely choose Italy to live. I've always been fascinated by the architecture, culture, food, and beauty of both the countryside and cities!

ReplyDeleteEngland :D
ReplyDeleteI've actually lived in four different countries at 3 different continents and have traveled quite a bit.. I would definitely say that I would love to live a year or so in South Korea. I've been there and I LOVED it.. especially being able to gain the korean language. Other than the.. I think I would love to live in a coastal country. I love the beach <3
ReplyDeletethanks for the awesome giveaway!

Germany.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win!
I definitely think I'd move to Ireland or Australia. One, I have so much family history that remains undiscovered in both of these places, and two, they are so beautiful! But I'm not sure. Adventure is so exciting, but I don't know if I can stay in one place!
ReplyDeleteIf I had to choose another place to live, then Italy.
ReplyDeleteI would love to live in Ireland because I'm part Irish and I wouldn't have to learn another language which is a plus. :)
ReplyDeleteItaly or Australia
