Movie Review: The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty PG

A day-dreamer escapes his anonymous life by disappearing into a world of fantasies filled with heroism, romance and action. When his job along with that of his co-worker are threatened, he takes action in the real world embarking on a global journey that turns into an adventure more extraordinary than anything he could have ever imagined.

At a Glance:
I went to see Catching Fire with my family and I saw the trailer for this movie. It looked really good, and I instantly wanted to see it! I finally went to get cupcakes and see Walter Mitty with Reagan. And we loved it. I loved it so much I never wanted it to end. It was amazing.

I liked the chemistry between Walter (Ben Stiller) and Cheryl (Kristen Wiig), but it wasn't like The Notebook kind of chemistry (and I know that's kinda rare). I wish there was more chemistry between Walter and Cheryl.

The action was so much fun! Because he would be day-dreaming and it will be like he will jump through a building window, and do a bunch of tricks, or stuff crazy like that. It was intense, never wanted it to end.

Ben Stiller was perfect for this role! I loved it. It was quirky, fun, crazy, and absolutely funny!
Kristen Wiig did very well on this character. Sometimes she reminded me of someone like Lauren Graham, her humor and expressions (And that's a good thing).

Did my friends like it:
Yes. I went to go see it with Reagan, she loved it. But I heard people saying it was boring and slow, but I disagree.

Will I watch it again:
Yes. It was just like a roller coaster, right when it ended I wanted to ride it again.

4 out-of 6

  • Language - Mild - Some crude adult language.
  • Sexual - Very clean, a few kisses on lips here and there.
  • Other - Some beer drinking in a bar, and a very drunk guy decides to go flying in his helicopter.

  1. Wow quite the recommendation! The initial trailers caught my interest but then I got worried it was a little too dry. Good to hear how much you liked it though!

  2. Now I want to see this even more! Great review, love the format :).

  3. Streaming channels would likely kill the DVD market, as they had a more massive selection that includes lots of newer films. With high speed internet, it is somewhat inevitable.
