Today should be one of the worst days of seventeen-year-old Hadley Sullivan's life. Having missed her flight, she's stuck at JFK airport and late to her father's second wedding, which is taking place in London and involves a soon-to-be stepmother Hadley's never even met. Then she meets the perfect boy in the airport's cramped waiting area. His name is Oliver, he's British, and he's sitting in her row. A long night on the plane passes in the blink of an eye, and Hadley and Oliver lose track of each other in the airport chaos upon arrival. Can fate intervene to bring them together once more? Quirks of timing play out in this romantic and cinematic novel about family connections, second chances, and first loves. Set over a twenty-four-hour-period, Hadley and Oliver's story will make you believe that true love finds you when you're least expecting it.

  • At a Glance:
  • Andye introduced this book to me and I loved it at once. I was reading Allegiant by Veronica Roth at the time and set that down just to read this (Which I read and in a day because I couldn't put it down). I can't wait to read more of Jennifer E. Smith. I love the cover and I love the title. It was brilliant, quirky and romantic, and fell in love with it at chapter 3.

    Romance:
Okay well, the cover does say Love at first Sight on it. So yes there is lots of romance. And I have to say, it was amazing. There was so much between Oliver and Hadley right when they sat down for the flight to London.
    Heroine:
When I think of Hadley, I think of Danielle Panabaker. She can be nice but she is also sassy. I don't blame her really, I mean she is flying to London to go her fathers wedding with his new girlfriend. But when she meets Oliver her attitude kinda changes, and then she get kind of sweet I guess.
    Hero:
When I think of Oliver in my head I think of Douglas Booth. Which is a very, very good sign. His character is so sweet and funny. He's cute (In my mind) and I just love his character to death.

    Something I loved:
I loved the romance between Hadley and Oliver. It was amazing. I also loved the way it was written, in the whole twenty-four hours and that's the whole book.

    Something(s) I hated:
I can't really think of anything I really hated, except that I would like more to the story. More than twenty-four hours, even though I loved the concept of it, I would still like more. But I know shes writing a sequel, so its okay.

    Cliffhanger?
It was kind of one of those cliffhangers where the story could end there, but there could also be a lot more to the book, so your not the sure... if you know what I mean. But I'm definitely hoping for a sequel.
    Would I recommend it?
If you are into contemporary romance kind of stuff, then yes. I would recommend it!

    Did my friends like it?
Yes, my best friend Natalie loved it, Kit loved it, and Andye loved it. (And I'm trying to get my mom Amy to read it).

    Will I buy/keep it?
    Yes, definitely!
