Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke & The Bookish.
This week's topic is Top Ten Hyped Books I've Never Read, which actually wasn't too hard for me, because I honestly have so many books in my TBR (er...on my TBR SHELVES) that I just had to glance at them as I was writing. I don't know if these books are hyped a lot. It feels like they are. I consider hyped to be...what it seems like everyone has read, so here goes my list....
Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli - I feel like everyone has read this book, and LOVED it. I want to know what the deal is with all the oreos, and why everyone loves this book oh so much. I need to get a copy of it ASAP. The hype monster is making me!
Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson - In my defense, I own the first copy (thanks Book Outlet and your epic sales!), but I have yet to pick it up. *sad face*
Vicious by VE Schwab - Another one that I own, thanks to Book Outlet. But I've been dying to pick it up since I recently read Victoria's other book, A Darker Shade of Magic. I mean, VILLAINS. WHY HAVE I NOT PICKED THIS BOOK UP YET?!
The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon - I'm pretty much going to keep saying this, but I actually own this one too. (I have a book buying problem, okay?! Especially when books are talked about a lot). I have really high hopes for this one though!
Sabriel by Garth Nix - I feel like this is a book that everyone read a decade or so ago, and if you haven't, then you read them, because they recently got re-released, but I want to know what all the love is for. It sounds pretty bad A, in my opinion. (And yes, I own it too.)
Enclave by Ann Aguirre - Before you ask, I do own this one. (I told you that I was going to keep repeating that). In my defense, I remember reading the very beginning of it (years ago), because ZOMG ZOMBIES, and it just didn't mesh with me at that point in time, so I put it to the side and have yet to pick it back up. BUT one of my friends is peer-pressuring me to read it soon, so I (probably) will.
Landline by Rainbow Rowell - I LOVE Rainbow Rowell. Well, I love her YA books. I haven't read Attachments or Landline, but I really want to and I really want to love them as much as everyone else seems to! (Own it)
Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard - (Yup, this one too) I pre-ordered this sucker. I was so amped for it, and then I hit the biggest reading slump ever (still in it) due to being over-worked and exhausted all of the time. I really want to read this one asap, but I'm kinda sorta holding off, because I don't want to deal with a huge cliffhanger.
Uprooted by Naomi Novik - I just bought this one due to all the sudden hype. I actually hope to read it this month, because DRAGONS and MAGIC and FANTASY and the hype monster is growling at me, "READ ME BECCA." So, of course, I shall listen to it in fear of being eaten by it.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan - I'm actually scared about posting this, because Andye has no idea that I haven't read this series. SHHHH DON'T TELL HER. Hopefully she won't read this post and will never know. LALALA. Again, in my defense, I actually own all 5 of them, and I've read the 1st, but haven't made it much farther. *prepares to be scolded by Andye*
So what are some of your choices of hyped books that you've never read? Are any of yours the same as mine? Let's discuss!
