The Burning Sky & The Perilous Sea
by Sherry Thomas

The Burning Sky opens with an amazing introduction that hooked me immediately, and I loved every single page that came after.  It was magical!  I almost felt a Harry Potterishness about this world. There was magic and mystery and a beautiful slow romance. I just can't begin to describe the depths of my love for this series, these characters, this world, that ROMANCE, all that action, and the incredible, incredible storyline. There is nothing I would change. Nothing. I could read these books a hundred times and never get tired of them. If you haven't read it,  Get The Burning Sky NOW!

Iolanthe and Titus's mission comes to its thrilling end in the third book in the Elemental Trilogy—perfect for fans of Cinda Williams Chima and Kristin Cashore—which Publishers Weekly called "a wonderfully satisfying magical saga" in a starred review and Kirkus Reviews said "bids fair to be the next big epic fantasy success."

In a pursuit that spans continents, Iolanthe, Titus, and their friends have always managed to remain one step ahead of the forces of Atlantis. But now the Bane, the monstrous tyrant who bestrides the entire mage world, has issued his ultimatum: Titus must hand over Iolanthe, or watch as his entire realm is destroyed in a deadly rampage. Running out of time and options, Iolanthe and Titus decide to act now and deliver a final blow to the Bane that will end his reign of terror for good.

But getting to the Bane means accomplishing the impossible: finding a way to infiltrate his crypt in the deepest recesses of the most ferociously guarded fortress in Atlantis. And everything is only made more difficult when new prophecies come to light, foretelling a doomed effort. . . .

Iolanthe and Titus will put their love and their lives on the line. But will it be enough?
It is the best feeling in the world to love a series from beginning to end. You know how it is, so often, that you love book one, only to be disappointed by the following books. I can't explain how happy I am that I loved every minute of every one of these books.

This series is phenomenal!

THE IMMORTAL HEIGHTS starts off where book 2 ends, with our friends in eminent danger, and the threat is constant through the entire book. The Bane will stop at nothing to get his hands on what he wants, and Titus and Iolanthe have to always stay one step ahead.

There are so many things that I love about this book, and this entire series. The world-building is so incredible. Not only is the world that our characters live in explored further, but also the world of The Crucible. I fell in love with these worlds and just want to be able to go there myself.

The characters are so fantastic as well. I adore the banter between Iolanthe and Titus.
"We are all going to die soon," he said, his voice barely audible. "Do you really wish to waste time being angry at me?" "Yes," she hissed. "I remain an unrepentant optimist. If I see that I'm about to die, or you, I will forgive you. But not until then, you bastard."
Titus has such a quick-wit and he's just so caring, kind and fiercely loyal. I loved the way Titus treats Iolanthe. LOVE. He sees her as a partner, but will also do anything to protect her.
"He was afraid -- she knew this because he did not hide his fear from her -- but beyond the fear was an unbreakable will."
"He loves you, in a way that is beyond me...What I mean is that you are everything to him. When he sees you, he sees the one with whom he has been to hell and back – the one who would accompany him to hell again, no questions asked."
This book was everything I could've hoped for in a finale. It kept me on the edge of my seat, ripped my heart open, made me laugh out loud again and again, and made me afraid to turn the pages . . . but unable to stop. This is one of the best series I've ever read. The writing is beautiful, the story is epic, and Titus is mine!

Sherry Thomas is one of the most acclaimed romance authors working today. Her books regularly receive starred reviews from trade publications and are frequently found on best-of-the-year lists. She is also a two-time winner of Romance Writers of America's prestigious RITA® Award.

English is Sherry's second language—she has come a long way from the days when she made her laborious way through Rosemary Roger's Sweet Savage Love with an English-Chinese dictionary. She enjoys digging down to the emotional core of stories. And when she is not writing, she thinks about the zen and zaniness of her profession, plays computer games with her sons, and reads as many fabulous books as she can find.

Sherry’s next book, The Immortal Heights volume three of her young adult fantasy trilogy, will be available fall 2015.
