In Which, Becca Resolves To FINISH Reading (or DITCH) These 10 Books...

From Becca's Shelves...

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke & The Bookish.

This week's topic is TOP TEN RESOLUTIONS I HAVE FOR 2016 aka "I resolve to finally FINISH reading these 10 books" (or a special edition of READ or DITCH for TTT).  Because as everyone knows, Becca's reading year in 2015 is better known as the Year of the BIGGEST Book Slump of Mankind. So I kind of, sort of started a bunch of books last year, that I basically just gave up on, because I just wasn't feeling it. I did enjoy most of what I read, but because of my slump, I just wasn't digging it as much as I hoped, if that makes any sense. Anyways, in some way or fashion, all of these books were DNF'd last year, but not forever. I just sat these aside for another time.

Should I really resolve to finish reading these or should I ditch them?
(Apparently I'm not sure about finalizing these resolutions? Haha)

The Creeping by Alexandra Sirowy - I remember really enjoying this one when I started it, but then I think Queen of Shadows came out and I put it to the side to finish later. Then, never got back to it.

First & Then by Emma Mills - I think I actually read nearly half of First & Then, but at that point, I wasn't swooning, and when Becca doesn't swoon, she's not very interested anymore. But I'm still curious to see how this one ends, because there were some things that I really liked about it.

Firewalker by Josephine Angelini - I don't even know why I put this one back down. I LOVE Trial by Fire, and I should love this one too. It will definitely be a PRIORITY in 2016. (That feels so weird to type instead of 2015)

The White Rose by Amy Ewing - Another one I should really enjoy, because I was one of the black sheep who really liked The Jewel. I still want to know how the story continues, despite how many similarities there are between this one and THG.

Soundless by Richelle Mead - I read half of this one, but didn't love it. I still want to read it because it's Richelle freakin' Mead, but I'm worried it might still end up a disappointment.

The Detour by SA Bodeen -  The Detour sounds so promising, but the beginning was really.....strange. Plus, the main character was eye-roll inducing.

The Bronze Horseman by Paullina Simons - I want to read this book. Everyone loves this book. I just want to love it too. But I gave up after 100 pages. I will try again though.

See Me by Nicholas Sparks - I'm one of those people who usually love Nicholas Sparks books, despite the fact that they make me bawl my eyes out. This one just seemed to be the same old story or something, because I fell bored pretty quickly. But I still will read it, because we all know there will more than likely be a movie, and I gots to read the book before I watch the movie. It's book nerd law. Or something.

Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli - This is the book I'm expecting to get the most flack about. It was like *the* book to love and swoon and devour in 2015. Book Pushers forced my hand in buying it, but I'm slowly reading it. I really like it so far, it just hasn't hooked me quite yet. I'm still very hopeful though.

Their Fractured Light by Amie Kaufman & Meagan Spooner - I'm nearly finished with Their Fractured Light. I'm enjoying it. Not as much as the other, which is probably why I've been reading it for weeks now. It will get finished eventually though.

So which of these books should I really resolve to finish in 2016? Which ones should I truly ditch for good? Let's discuss! Persuade me to finish these books! I need all the motivation I can get!
