THE GIRL AT MIDNIGHT was one of my absolute favorite reads last year. I listened to the audiobook and highly recommend it.
One of the things I loved most about the story, was the main character, Echo. Echo was a FANTASTIC character to read. I loved her cleverness and her snark. She was loyal and quick-thinking, while still dealing with insecurities that often made her second-guess herself. She used the skills she had to get out of deadly situations. In a world of feathers and scales, she's just a girl, but a girl who refuses to be ignored.
I thought it would be fun to hear who your favorite snarky girls in books are.
Some of my favorite snarks are:
- Raisa Ana Marianna: The Seven Realms by Cinda Williams Chima
- Sophie Mercher: Hex Hall Series by Rachel Hawkins
- Iolanthe Seaborne: The Burning Sky Trilogy
- Kami Glass: Unspoken by Sarah Rees Brennan
Let me know yours in the comments who's snarkiness has stolen your heart, and don't forget to enter the giveaway below!
The firebird has come into the world, but it has not come alone. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction, and Echo can feel a great and terrible darkness rising in the distance. Cosmic forces threaten to tear the world apart.
Echo has already lost her home, her family, and her boyfriend. Now, as the firebird, her path is filled with even greater dangers than the ones she's already overcome.
She knows the Dragon Prince will not fall without a fight.
Echo must decide: can she wield the power of her true nature--or will it prove too strong for her, and burn what's left of her world to the ground?
Welcome to the shadow hour.
