THE SYRENA LEGACY (Of Poseidon Series) by Anna Banks

The Syrena Legacy by Anna Banks
Publisher: Square Fish; Reprint edition (April 30, 2013)

Galen is the prince of the Syrena, sent to land to find a girl he's heard can communicate with fish. Emma is on vacation at the beach. When she runs into Galen—literally, ouch!—both teens sense a connection. But it will take several encounters, including a deadly one with a shark, for Galen to be convinced of Emma's gifts. Now, if he can only convince Emma that she holds the key to his kingdom...

Told from both Emma and Galen's points of view, here is a fish-out-of-water story that sparkles with intrigue, humor, and waves of romance.

At a Glance:
Okay, This is one of my absolute favorite series. When I first started reading Of Poseidon I couldn't put it down. It was so amazing, the romance, the action, the humor. Everything about it was brilliant.

Oh, yes. I love action. If a book has romance and action, I'm in. This action was amazing. From throwing sisters through a bulletproof window (Yes that actually happened) to fighting Syrena's underwater. And it got really gory just at the start of the book (lots of blood and very detailed)

Wow. I seriously don't know what to say about it. The romance in these books in one reason why I absolutely love this series. Emma and Galen's relationship is a sitting-on-the-edge-of-your-seat type of thing. What I love about romance in some books are the little teasers. Like when there about to confess there love to each other or about to kiss but something just has to happen. And then its only till the end of the book till they finally kiss, and you have to wait for the second book. Yeah. It was like that.

Emma was an okay character. She may be sometimes dramatic (like all teenage girls), and very, very stubborn. But other than that I liked her.

Galen is in my top 5 favorite book heros. And that kind of hard to get into. Galen is so sweet and I started to like him the first page I found him. He wasn't like guys in other book all cool and bad attitude all cool like. He was sweet and was his own character and I think thats why I liked him so much.

Favorite Supporting Character:
Toraf (Galen's brother in-law), because he's just amazing. He's in my favorite supporting character list. (Anna Banks is really good with making up characters) He makes this book hilarious, he's charming and kind and I just loved him.

Something(s) I hated:
Emma would maybe overreact or just be dramatic (I mean, like every teenager) but I really didn't like that about her character. She was stubborn and dramatic at sometimes and I think thats what I really hated about the book.

Oh. Yes. One of the biggest cliffhangers ever. Like, Lauren Kate cliffhanger (thats bad). But its still amazing. So read it.

Would I recommend it?
If you're into romance, action, and mermaids. Then yes.
